The access road is fine if you drive 4x4 and despite we were ok with our tiny Hyundai I would feel much better if there was asphalt and not huge potholes and gravel. But I suppose once the build in the near vicinity of the place is done, it'll look better.

We've loved the king-sized bunk beds, there was also a little space next to a mattress that allowed us to store books, water bottles etc. Lockers were small but enough to store our laptops, passports etc. The facilities are really nice, big and well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge space, private toilets, showers and plenty to space to brush teeth, get water etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barn. I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Rooms lacks a good ventilation. The lamps in bunk beds were placed so I hit them every single time I raised my head.

Everything was good

Super modern hostel, extremely clean. Huge kitchen with all the kitchen facilities. Very kind staff. A common area to have a drink or food. We watched Champions League finals on the big screen and had happy hour.

The hostel was clean and stylish. I travelled with my man so we thought it was a great idea to offer dorm room with double wide bunk beds. The kitchen was well-equipped. The location was great: close enough from the Route 1 and also close to the black beach.

The refrigerators in the communal kitchen didn't have a freezer. If you buy frozen foods, you need to either buy them immediately before eating, or throw away the remaining amount. The curtain on my bunk, along with other bunk curtains in my room (and most likely many other rooms) needs repair. The curtain hooks hang from plastic pieces that slide on a track. Many of the plastic pieces were missing out broken, which means we could not block all the light, and we didn't have as much privacy as designed.

Most comfortable bed I slept on in Iceland, out of about 8 different hostels and guesthouses over a 1 month period in the country.

We stayed in the 6 bed dorm and the top bunk bed was difficult to get into and out of. The showers also didn’t have any shelves or anywhere to place clean clothes so these had to go on the floor (or be hung on one of the towel hooks).

Very new and clean hostel located close to the Reynisfjara beach. The bar was open until 11pm which was welcome after a long day seeing the sights from Reykjavik to Vik. Showers and toilets were clean and modern and we never had to queue to use them.

Some people are not respecting quite hours, taking all of the space in the room to hang their clothes etc. But it's people problem, not the hostel:)

The location was amazing. It is near the black sand beach. The athmosphere was very cozzy. The accomodation exceeded my expectations.

The place is amazing! It is very clean (including shared toilets) and the kitchen and facilities are very new and easy to use. The staff was really welcoming and they even dried out clothes for free after a very rainy day.
