The location of this place is very convenient. It is close to the Reynisfjara beach. The property was excellent with all the facilities as mentioned.

The rooms are quite small considering one bed is for two people and a room has f.e. 6 beds. The space left for luggage and so on is not enough.

While the Barn was fantastic the pricing was more for a hotel than a hostel. I would expect to pay less for accommodations in a hostel but it was a great place.

The barn was amazing, from the friendly and helpful front desk staff, to the beds...so comfortable, the cleanliness of every area and the amazing kitchen. It was perfect

We had some guests try to come into our room after we checked in (we were a family of 7, and took up 1 room) and they claimed that this was their original room. Staff could have communicated better with these guests to let them know that their room was already given to someone else (I have no idea what happened). The guests were rude and the staff didn't apologise to us for the incident. Hot water regulation could be better as well. I waited for 10-15 minutes in the shower and only cold water came out.

Good value for the location. Even though it was a hostel and had shared spaces, facilities were clean and well maintained.

The only thing I missed was a small shelf in the shower room to place my things on that cannot be hanged on the hooks. Now I had to place my toiletry bag etc on the shower floor which was not super nice.

Outstanding, recently renovated/built hostel! I've been to many and this is by far one of the best ones. Everything was spotless, stylish decor, sockets by the bed as well as curtains for each bed to give more privacy in dormitories. A lot of showers and toilets, even hair dryers and straighteners available.

Shower drain, dirty floor, stronger bathroom fan

Everything is quite clean except the floor, I feel like they did a vacuum but not mop. Wish the bathroom fan was stronger, the moisture wet all my toiletries. Shower would be better if the shower head is removable. The shower splashed out because there’s no glass door. The room has an excellent view. Very large. With a table so we can sit down properly to eat. The common area is very clean and comfortable. Cocktail was tasty. Friends are super friendly and helpful. I like the laundry service they offer, drop them off by 11pm and ready by 8-9am. Shower drain was not draining that well, they were able to fix it when we asked them close to 11pm. Parking right out front!
