The place was amazing, probably the best throughout our trip. It has a great story, it offers a lot of information not only for the hotel but also the area and interesting facts about Iceland. As we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed us that she has already prepared our breakfast and it is in the fridge in our room. And what a breakfast! It was very diverse and delicious. The room offered a lot of ammenities and a great view. The bathroom was supposed to be shared, but as we were only two couples at the time with two bathrooms on the floor, it felt as if it is just for us. And the bathroom itself was renovated, modern, very warm, clean and had everything you need. The best part was that the hotel was near a beach with a small dock and with almost no lights around we had the most amazing aurora view! I highly recommend this place while travelling around Iceland!

This guesthouse was comfortable, inviting and beautifully furnished. The rooms were modern and spacious, and while the host was kind enough to upgrade me to a double room (given I was staying at a quiet time) I saw my originally booked room and it was also spacious, with its own table & fridge. The house was kept very clean, as well, so I felt really comfortable using the shared bathroom. The location was beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the lake from my room, and the jacuzzi out the back was a welcome surprise and a great way to relax after a big day of exploring. Given how small a town this is, there was little light pollution and I was lucky enough to see the northern lights from the beach across the road. The local restaurant served delicious food as well! The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast served was delicious and great value for money. I wish I could have stayed for longer!

I absolutely enjoy the location of the house, on the shore of the fjord and in a peaceful part of the city. It is a great option if you are looking to chase the northern lights as well. Also, the hot tubs are amazing. Thank you for that. It is my second time staying here so I guess this basically sums up everything. And I would definitely return!

Couldn't fault it.

A warm welcome from a family run business. We were given a cabin with a good selection of extras... kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge. It was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Own bathroom with shower. Good ventilation, so we could sleep in cooler fresh air as desired. Close access to the beach, a supermarket and a fuel station. It represented excellent value for money.

When all the rooms are full, the common room might be a bit small

The host was great, very nice and warm. It is the only place in Iceland where we really felt welcomed and made to feel good. It was the best mattress we had during our stay (10 nights) They have horses and invited us to tag along to pet and feed them when we asked, and you can book a riding tour with them if you are interested Kitchen was fully fonctional with all you need to cook proper meals or just have a snack (oven, cooking top with more than 2 burners, toaster, good coffee machine, etc..). No cooking oil however. The binucolars were a lovely touch, and the ocean view is amazing. If you like animals and nature you will love it here, they have a lovely patio with tons of plants and a couple of sweet rabbits, and a small and very friendly dog (Hi Loki, we miss you!). It is a small but charming town in Iceland

There was only one restaurant open though a good grocery store made our snowboard trip fun.

We were there in huge winter snowstorm. Everything we planned to do was inaccessible. Still, we were comfortable and kept ourselves entertained. The location is gorgeous...evenn blanketed in snow.

No negatives about the accommodation - location is a little quiet but a convenient stopping point!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We booked one of the outdoor twin rooms and it was a gorgeous cabin with comfy bed, our own fridge/microwave and private bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch too and we could pay to get our laundry done.

We rented a room with private bathroom. It is a mini cabin with not much space to go about. The premise have a shared kitchen that we are free to used. Owners are very nice. Breakfast is simple but great.
