United StatesThere was an loud and long fireworks right next to the hotel around 2300 that was very disruptive to those sleeping.
Many options were all available on site to include a bar and restaurant.

Our room was very nice. Comfy bed so we had a great sleep. We saw the northern lights over the hotel from the car park. Check in was very quick and easy. The breakfast was very good, plenty of options. It's continental but a good one. The shower has great pressure i liked the tiles on the walls. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It has everything you want for your ring road journey. Value, comfy beds, views, location, great breakfast and friendly staff.

IcelandWho designs a hotel with the laundry area opposite a guest room? How do I know? I sneaked into the place next door to find out why my wall was vibrating all night; you had an industrial washing machine against it. I even tried to sleep with my noise cancelling headphones on, but I couldn't. I paid 130€ for this and I got no rest. There is no excuse.
What did I like? You are a hotel and I regret not sleeping in my car instead, so excuse me for not bothering to find anything positive.

GermanyApart from the breakfast (room), nothing could meet our expectations, based on the things shown / written here. In generel the reception, the staircase and especially our room (incl. bath room), are pretty old and kind of outdated. Our room was really small and located in the basement, directly at the footpath leading to the main entry of the hotel...: Everyone who walked by looked could see us. Additionally, the room was badly soundproofed / noisy (you could hear every single word spoken at the floor) which was enhanced by the 'unfitting', thin room door: whenever someone used the exit of the floor at the basement (somehow this happened all night long, even though it was something like an emergency exit), the door of our room was shaking too due to the draught, maiking noises. In order to sleep we had to fix the door with a towel and cotton buds (Q-Tips), which we sticked between the door and its frame. As if that was not enough: there was an unpleasent smell in the bath room. Unfortunately I really cannot agree with most of the positive reviews, especially not with mentioned renovations.
Against expectations / Unfortunately not much... The employees were kind and helpful, the breakfast offer was big and versatile.

Australiaold carpet and unable to access the room without taking large luggage up and down 2 x flights of stairs. Had a fire exit straight to carpark however was locked, would be good to have a card to swipe to make getting bags into room easier
