Lovely hotel hidden in the West Iceland countryside. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was a nice surprise. Meal at the restaurant was amazing

The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful - Deep appreciation from us. Our rental car with summer tires was slipped into road side due to the snowy and icy condition of the road in the morning, and I called the hotel (Maria) for help. The hotel quickly dispatched a gentleman (Birzir) over to pull us out back onto the road so we could continue our travel. A huge relief for us !! Also, very good breakfast and cozy room! a good stay in this hotel!! Will come back staying here another time (during warmer season)!!!

The room was a little bit small , And we wanted a queen bed but got 2 twin bed ( they were not separated , but as a couple it was a little bit inconvenient)

The restaurant is amazing !! The breakfast was amazing , and also we ate there a dinner the night before (of course why paid ) it was our best restaurant in the trip!

Do not trust Google maps when driving to this location. It puts you down in a dirt road. You need to follow the signs. For breakfast, check your eggs. it seems the kitchen staff still needs to learn how to cook eggs.

It's a very clean and modern hotel in a remote part of the country side. There are no real facilities outside your hotel room so it was 'ok' for 1 night. Excellent restaurant with a diverse menu.

Just minor things, our door didn't close properly, we had to slam it to close it. Doesn't have a sauna (apparently coming soon) and it could have some healthy choices for breakfast but that's just personal preference. None is a biggie, it's the last 1%.

The beds are great, very comfy and a good size (not like most beds in Iceland which are too narrow). Everything is relatively new (from 2019) and good quality materials are used (eg Villeroy & Boch in the bathroom. Best of all, the hotel has 4 slow chargers for BEV/PHEV that are free-of-charge to use. We charged our Tesla completely overnight, thanks! Breakfast is good and served on the 4th floor which has glass windows top to bottom so one can enjoy the scenery. Good value for money

definitely the best place we have stayed in Iceland, staff very good and friendly. Breakfast was exceptional and dinner that we have had is the best meal we have ever had . definitely I recommend having dinner ! we have tried their many per person it was about 75eur and well spent money . the taste was amazing !

I found the furniture to be Ikea-like and a lesser quality than I expected. That would not deter me from staying, again.

Customer service at Hotel Varmaland was exceptional. The rooms were comfortable; the breakfast was delicious! I loved the general design of the hotel. The room was light, fresh and modern. It seemed newly furnished. It was quiet, although it was full. The location was absolutely perfect.
