We booked an economy bunk bed for four on the second floor, which meant we had to haul our luggage up the stairs. The Wi-Fi modem in our room didn't work for both days, but after reaching out to the property in the morning, we were able to access the Wi-Fi on the first floor, although it was quite slow and not very usable. My friends struggled a bit with ventilation in room. We arrived on a rainy day, which made it tricky to dry our soaked gear—some space for that would have been helpful.

The view from the location was lovely! On clear days, you could see the ocean, and the pets were very friendly and eager to play with us—we all adored them. The bunk bed was comfortable, heater worked, slept like a baby. The shared kitchen had all the utensils, amenity we needed, along with some grocery items to enhance our meals. There was plenty of parking available. The shoe dryer and regular dryer were saviors.

It was the cutest hostel in which we ever stayed. The common areas were perfect, we could also cook and have some time with others. The view was beautiful from our rooms. We also really enjoyed the company of the cat, dogs, chickens and ducks.

Just be careful on the driveway up to the hostel as it is quite uneven and there are a couple of holes that could damage your tyres.

Perfect place to stay to explore Vik and the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend for those trying to travel Iceland on a low budget.

The fridge needed cleaning out. There wasn't much room to put my stuff. I saw the owners but there wasn't any communication with them so I didn't get any tips from them.

The room and bathroom was very clean. The location is great and the beds were comfy.

The main building has 2 showers one at the bottom of the house which has some drainage problems, the mess from the person that did the shower before didn't completely go down the drain. A little bit of plumbing or a better drainage would fix this. Another problem with having 2 showers is that you need to wait a lot if the house is full. It would be better to also have a shower at the 1st floor. The kitchen is a little disorganized, and some things that are left there from other people started to spoil. The space in the kitchen is a little small, the two tables are too close to each other so if 2 big groups come to eat it is a little hard to manage.

The hostel is cure and very rustic, we played with the dogs outside. You can also buy organic stuff from farmers at the entry of the property. Rooms have good blinds, in case you are sensitive to light.

Only two bathrooms (with showers) and it can get busy during morning/evening. In the summer lots of families and it was very loud during my stay (and you can hear everything due to thin walls). Speed of Wifi was quite bad, that could be also an issue of a full guesthouse and not enough bandwidth.

Great location, comfy bed and good facilities (kitchen, dinning room, lounge area downstairs, shoe dryer,...). Room 8 (twin) was quite small. Good value.

Hostel is a family run business, close to the main road. A quiet place, clean, well equipped kitchen - you can find anything you need there. Room was rather small but just enough for 2 people. WC on each floor.

It would be nice if the hostel organised some place to put food you do not already need for other guests to take. It is otherwise really environmentally friendly place but a lot of food is being thrown away even though others might enjoy it as there is no dedicated place to put it. Also the window in our room was not sealing, so it would be nice if the weather stripping would be fixed.

Really nice atmosphere and cozy vibe. The hostel is nicely located, has a beautiful interior, animals are friendly etc. It is really well equipped with things like the shoe dryer and a fully equipped kitchen with all you might need. The room was nice and cozy. The whole place was clean and the staff were friendly and willing to help.

Unfortunately, the common spaces were not very clean and would have been nicer to have had more frequent cleanings, especially for the bathrooms. I felt it was a bit expensive for what we got based on what we paid.

We liked the location as it was right in the main area of Vik. It was easy to find, check in went smooth. The bedroom was as expected and was clean.
