Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThere are not many bathrooms for all the guests and if you didn't have a shower at time there might be a long queue.
The breakfast was excellent and the place was very beautiful. You can play with the dogs they have outside! And the staff is also very kind.

PhilippinesI hope that the middle bathroom will be done with renovation soon. It would help since there are many rooms sharing bathrooms. But the one on our floor and downstairs were working well. :)
The breakfast was fantastic! So many choices for the price we paid. I have to commend Barbara who was so generous in giving my new discovery- cowberry milk! Yum!

United StatesThe staff wasn’t there at all. i asked for a bottom bunk and didn’t get that. the people in my room snored loudly so I didn’t get much sleep at all. that isn’t the property’s fault of course. bring earplugs, though. there were not enough showers and bathrooms and they didn’t feel that clean. there were geese outside making noise during the night. i wish there was a bigger, warmer living room type area for travelers to gather in. all power went out at once. one person staying there did call the staff and they got it running again quickly but didn’t apologize or check on us at all. not having any staff there just doesn’t feel very welcoming.
The house is very cute and cozy. It’s in a good location. The breakfast was included (this is rare) and really delicious! plenty of vegetarian options!

United StatesThe bedding while clean looked like it was well worn and in need of replacing.
Had a nice, bed & breakfast feel to the place. I had one of the upstairs rooms. It was small but cozy. Slept very well and the included breakfast was good.

United KingdomThe internal walls are a bit thin and you can hear other people move around so if you're a light sleeper, you could bring some ear plugs - but that's a minor part of the stay and my only bit I didn't enjoy!
Great hostel, in a perfect spot for driving the Circle route/along the south coast. Food was fab, and they do waffles and homemade jams!

CanadaIt's a standard hostel, very loud and you probably won't get much sleep in the shared room, and you'll have to wait to use the bathrooms because there is only one on each floor.
Breakfast was easily the highlight of the place. It was homemade and fantastic, with many specialty Icelandic foods. Staff were friendly and there are lots of animals around the hostel that give it a country feel. The hostel is easy enough to find, but you do have to go on a gravel road.

United StatesDid not enjoy sharing one bathroom with 10+ people (the other was being renovated) and wasn’t provided with any towels. Also upon arrival, the only usable toilet was dirty and I cleaned it myself. Otherwise was very pleased!!!
Loved the location! Loved the breakfast, was the absolute best breakfast on the trip. So glad to have tried so many homemade things:) The house was cute, staff was friendly and woke up to the sound of ducks quacking. It was nice.

FinlandBreakfast might be the battle :-) Amount of places is smaller than amount of people in the hostel, so be prepared for queues especially if you want to try the waffles. In the room not so much power sockets, some spiders with flyings creatures and missing soundproofing. Only one bathroom available for all the rooms.
Locations is great and the view that you can see out of the windows is awesome. Really good kitchen, great staff, three dogs that asking you to play and really tasty waffles :-) "Shoes off" policy, easy check-in.
