Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyVery helpful staff, nice and modern facilities. Got a view on the 6th floor with a view of the bay! Just beside a supermarket. Quiet room even it was in the Main Street.

United KingdomA perfect location in central Reykjavík. The hotel staff were friendly and super helpful. Great food in the restaurant and open nice and early for coffee and pastries before heading off exploring for the day. The rooms were perfectly sized when using them for a base, bathrooms had amazing showers. Great views.

United KingdomThere is very little about the property i didn’t like. Some visitors complained about lack of parking, but street parking and a local car park were fine for our rental car. So my o my very slight improvements maybe would be some facial tissues in the room, maybe some more tea and coffee sachets for the room and lastly, the trash in the room, could you have one for recycling too? Honestly these are very minor points and in no way would it influence me on recommending this hotel.
Great location within walking distance of all major attractions of Reykjavik. The hotel is small, boutique style, great staff, clean quiet rooms and amazing value for money.

AustraliaThe room value for money was a bit on the expensive side. And the pillows were a bit flat. But other than that this hotel is nice place to stay in while exploring Iceland.
The property is well located and we were lucky to get an upgrade that overlooked the lovely snow capped mountains. The staff were really nice and helpful. Conveniently, located near all the bus stops if you are thinking about catching a few tours.

United KingdomWe loved the property, only thing we could say was that the teabags weren’t replenished for when we arrived but it wasn’t a big deal, we didn’t mind!
The location is perfect! On the main road, parking outside that’s free from 21:00-10:00! Staff are so friendly and the rooms are a good size, modern and lovely decor.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a bit smelly (although I believe this is because sulphur is added to hot water in Iceland).
Perfect location to explore the town and nearby to several bus stops for tours. We were grateful to be upgraded into the superior room which had the most incredible view of the mountain range. Staff were wonderful.

IrelandThis is an ideal location for exploring Reykjavik. The rooms are clean and comfortable, some might find them a bit small but we had no issues. There's also a lovely bar / restaurant that's open most of the day. I'd definitely stay here again.

United KingdomCouldn't have asked for a better location! There is a tourist information centre directly opposite, the best bars and restaurants on the same street and there is an amazing bakery called Braud just around the corner. All the staff were lovely and the hotel bar is a beautiful space for a happy hour drink. Would definitely stay again!

NetherlandsLots of new/different staff changing daily so personal service wasn’t unfortunately really there eventho the hotel was small and boutique style. Very little flexibility with room service or special requests. Rooms were lovely and cozy! Showers a little dirty but nothing excessive.

United KingdomThe only real improvement I would make is the radiator to not be on a timer as we got soaked one day and needed to dry our clothing and this took a little while due to the radiator not staying on the whole time.
The hotel is really lovely decorated and very clean. It’s in a great location for all excursion bus stops and handy with a supermarket just next door. Prime location and a lovely hotel!
