Rooms could have been closer together as requested. Two rooms with two single beds each were expected and one room only had a double bed. One room had awful sewage smell that came from the bathroom. It still was there (though not as strong) after I had asked someone to address it. The other room with only a double bed had a huge amount of dust accumulated on one side of the room.

Breakfast was adequate, but don’t expect more than scrambled eggs with a bunch of Costco items. The hot tub was nice and I was happy to see it being cleaned every day.

Check in was a little difficult . There was a young girl running it , but she was difficult to locate & busy doing her own thing. I rang two mobile numbers , one was busy and the other left me hanging on the line . The first night we were kept awake until 3am by a very noisy group . The following night was great.

Breakfast was very good every morning . The location is lovely.

the room was not cleaned everyday, although this is a hotel so i would expect the room to be cleaned daily and the towels changed daily. this was not done. when we would come back at night time there was a wierd smell in the room so we would have to air out the room

the location and the view is excellent. it is very quiet and peacful. the view of the surrounding mountain right outside the hotel is beautiful.

First i thought location was in a desserted place but then was happy to see some small houses close by..didnt feel lonely at all infact we enjoyed our stay a lot..my kids enjoyed the hot water jacuzzi& it was lovely house

Beautiful home nestled in the middle of Eyjafjallajökull. Close to many attractions in Iceland. Not many ppl traveling this time of year so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Nice hot pot and staff was really friendly. 100% renting again next time I travel around Iceland :)

we waited almost 5 hours at the reception and no one was there, the phone at the reception was not working. after 5 hours, the staff came and showed us the room, he was not apologetic. After about 5 minutes, he said we didn’t pay when we obviously did. we showed him the proof of payment together with the confirmation from booking.com. He just shrugged his head and CHASED US OUT of the room. We asked him for the manger’s number he just pointed the reception phone and asked us to call the number which we had been calling for 5 hours. No other solution was offered. We were stranded there for another 40 minutes and the same staff came back again. He led us to the same room and we were very confused and frustrated at that time. what’s worst is after we moved our luggage into the room, we realized the key could not be pulled out from the room. We tried to call reception again but to no avail. We had to move our tables and chairs behind the door to avoid someone from barging in. We told the staff the next day about the key problem and he was like ‘ya, I know’.???????????????????????????? then I remember he used a big pliers to take out the room key the first time after he chased us out. I’m so so so confused????????

I don't think I disliked anything about this place. Everything was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Due to road closures we had to frantically book two hotel rooms somewhere on road 1 at the last minute. Lambafell was available and I booked it without reading reviews. The place was phenomenal. Rooms were spacious enough (we had two twin beds pushed together, what we asked for), the bathroom was spacious, the shower was great. Check-in was simple (I had received the codes for the key lock boxes via e-mail). Everything was clean. The continental breakfast had a decent selection of food available. The hot tub was right outside our room (we had a door leading to it, actually) and while that could be a downfall if guests are rude, we had no issues and definitely enjoyed seeing the stars and the Northern Lights from the warmth of a hot tub. There are two amazing waterfalls nearby. I wish we had stayed here a few days prior, we stayed somewhere nearby but nowhere near as nice.

No notes - it was a wonderful stay!

The hotel was incredibly inviting and clean. It is situated just at the base of a beautiful mountain, and the balcony off our room gave us a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. The room itself was extremely comfortable - extra blankets and pillows for everyone, a mini-fridge for our food supplies, and plenty of space. Breakfast was great as well - the staff was very helpful and attentive. We especially appreciated the contactless checkin/checkout process. We ended up stranded at the hotel for one day of our stay due to dangerous weather conditions, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to hunker down. We even got some use out of the hottub before the storm rolled in! All in all, we had a fantastic time at Welcome Lambafell and would definitely book again!

Communication with this hotel is horrible. Customer service is awful. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The hot tub was lukewarm. The breakfast was old and stale.

This was a beautiful spot close to the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. The breakfast was plentiful and there was coffee available around the clock. The building is beautiful and clean.

I’m not sure why the code for our rooms couldn’t be emailed to us like all the other places we have stayed in in Iceland. For some reason you have to make a phone call when you arrive to get the code.

Lovely warm, spacious log cabin style property about a 10 minute drive from Skogfoss waterfall. Good sized bedroom with large bathroom and great shower! The large open plan living area was lovely to sit in and the breakfast in the morning was a bonus. There was a nice wee restaurant just 3 kms down the road.

Check in is by phone when you arrive, unfortunately it took 15 to 20 mins to contact someone to get our room code. Our TV didn't work but we didn't need it.

Excellent breakfast to cater for people from different countries, Good location, good place to stay for ferry to Westmann Islands and for various waterfalls and sights in the Vik area. Less than 5 mins from the Ring Road. Nice hot tub, just sit there and look at the mountains, you can even see the Westmann Islands from there,

This is an amazing place. Room was comfortable, clean and quite. It was easy to check in with the code sent promptly by the property owner. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. There is an area where it is possible to have at any time coffee, cappuccino or else for free.

I have tried to call the hotel several times without any reply also via booking message. we stay 2 days, they don't clean and they don't do the rearrangement of the room. Bad smell from the shower Breakfast very pour Hight costs 400 € per day for a triple room
