Unique cave hotel room. Spacious for our family of 4. The bathroom was next level!

Bed was a little close to an overhang in the cave . We hit our heads a few times. Cave was a little damp as was expected and they also had a dehumidifier so they are prepared.

Room in a cave was novel and well appointed. We had a large jacuzzi in our room and it was fun. Bathroom well appointed with a separate shower room by the jacuzzi. Location was right in old Sassi Matera. Close to restaurants and bars. The view outside our room was stunning. Breakfast was very nice. Great locaiton.

It was difficult to get to, but that’s due to the unique location. Would be difficult for someone older or with disabilities. The steps inside the room to the bathroom were quite dangerous and the entrance quite low. Very easy to slip or bang your head. The shower was also quite slippy.

The location, and especially the view out of our were fabulous. It felt unique to be staying in a cave. The shower was amazing.

Our particular room had no windows due to its positioning within the rocks. Otherwise nothing negative to comment about.

Situated at the begging of Matera and easy to access. Cinzia was extremely helpful, informative and obliging upon arrival. The room was of a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was very nice.

The only challenge is parking and getting into the city proper. Not the fault of the property by any means. Taxi service spotty

Fantastic bathroom with Jacuzzi. It's pretty easy to find - given the surroundings. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes!

Being a cave you'd expect to have some moldy smell but it was a bit strong. Something to improve.

Really nice "cave" room. It was big and confortable with all the amenities you need. The communication was easy and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and served in the balcony. Very good location with parking 5min away.

The location was perfect, such a beautiful view of Matera. Staff very friendly, providing excellent communication from the moment we booked. Room very clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable and air conditioning working perfectly. Bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and body lotion. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Nothing was out of order.

This may have been the nicest boutique hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. The setting is absolutely perfect, with a view of the historic sassi stone dwellings in Matero. The staff was small, but looked after you like family. The breakfast was astonishing and I felt like I was one Five-star dude.

We stayed in 41c heat so the mezzanine floor bedroom struggled to benefit from the aircon which was on the lower floor. It was 41c though so not unexpected!

The view from our bedroom (Terra) was amazing. The terrace was fantastic. The bathroom cave was huge and luxurious. Breakfast was good with lots of options and fresh fruit. Bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was fantastic, within easy reach of lots of great restaurants and bars and all the sights. We had no problem finding the hotel.

The hotel is very well located, very new and clean what’s very important since it’s right inside the rocks. The communication from the hotel is 10/10 and the check is and check out are very well organized. Breakfasts were also very good in a classy Italian style

Our bed had two different pillows of which one was sort of twisted and somewhat uncomfortable.

The design of the rooms inside the sassi is really beautiful. Especially the bathrooms are really great.

The air conditioner didn't really cool the room enough, and it was too noisy at night to leave the windows open, so sleeping wasn't the best.

Wonderful view of Matera from our room, which was large and comfortable.
