Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We have been staying here for many years- previously for a night or two before or after a flight. Now, with the many excellent seafood restaurants, we look forward to our stay as a foodie holiday. This small family owned hotel is very near all the hood dining options.

It was not very clean. There was a musty smell in the rooms. The air conditioner leaked in room 6 onto the single bed. The bathroom toilet did not flush in room 5.

We stayed at Academy Hotel after we returned from a cruise to be close to the airport. We all enjoyed our stay. It was with in walking distance to some great restaurants. It was a nice break from crazy overcrowded Rome. The staff was absolutely amazing! Selim was such a big help in suggesting restaurants and arranging transportation for us. He was always smiling and ready to help. In fact, everyone we encountered from the staff was super friendly and helpful. Andrea, Luciano and a young lady that was normally there in the morning. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was spotless with lots of room! It’s also within walking distance to the beach which was a big surprise for me. I had no idea it was that close. They offer shuttle service and taxi service to and from the airport. It was so easy and convenient. I hope to visit Academy Hotel again someday! Thank you Selim and staff, it was so nice meeting you all! Brandi and family ❤️

The bathroom was not fully clean.
The staff were extremely helpful and the location. Was perfect. We walked to dinner and along the river to the sea. Very nice.

Checked in my room Broken AC and room was filthy. Checked right out 15 min later. Disputing room charge with credit card. Do not stay here. They knew AC was broken and didn’t tell us upon checking in.

Very basic room. No jug, tissues or drinking glasses. Electrical plugs difficult to use - needed replacing.
Fishing village nearby was very interesting. Lots of restaurants nearby. 24 hour reception and shuttle bus to airport service.

The shuttle only runs until 10pm. Our flight was delayed and we had to take a taxi which was expensive. I chose your hotel because of shuttle service and location to airport. Unhappy we had to take a Taxi when arriving.

Air conditioning wouldn’t come on and television remote didn’t work. Shower was a little dingy and leaked out onto bathroom floor, also saw a few drain flies. Beds were adequate but not super comfortable.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very convenient location to airport and shuttle service to airport for early morning flight was great.

The bath was broken and paying an extra €5 for a bland breakfast coffee was a bit of a shock!
Spacious room with terrace. Good parking - staff very friendly. Convenient location with easy check in and out. Very convenient for the airport.

No frills hotel. No tea/coffee making facilities, which would have been great especially after travelling for nearly 2 days. The man serving coffee at breakfast seemed like he didn’t want to be there and was abrupt when I asked for a coffee The advice given to get the shuttle bus on arrival at the airport, could have been clearer. I spent about 15 minutes walking around to find the pick up point. I was told to come out of terminal 3, door 3 and cross the road. Which I did a couple of times. Eventually someone helped me. I should have been adviced to cross the road to the centre medium strip and turn right.
