Quiet position at the edge of the old town off Piazza St. Francesco. Nicely decorated clean room with comfortable bed and small balcony. Maria Pia was very welcoming and available to help. Only regret that I could stay only one night in Lucca!

The host Maria Pia is a lovely lady and very friendly and helpful. She picked me up from the station when I arrived and ordered taxi for me on the morning of my departure. The room was a nice big size with comfortable bed and good size bathroom. The location is perfect right on a square with cafés and restaurants and easy to walk everywhere you wanna go in the old city. Had a great stay and would definitely book again if ever going to Lucca again.

You cannot get a better location. Loved looking out the window and feeling the vibe of the piazza below. Restaurants and cafes downstairs. Enjoyed staying in the old palazzo style accommodation too, with character and history, instead of a mainstream chain hotel. Only disappointed that I couldn't stay longer! Thank you 😊🙏

The host was incredible! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (including fresh bakeries). The location is superb (with a Michelin restaurant just outside) and the room clean and spacious. The decor is lovely, always a huge plus to have lace rimmed pillow cases and bed sheet! By far our best stay on our 3-week-trip in Italy!

There wasn’t any in particular we didn’t like. Check in easy and host very helpful.

The host was friendly and helpful. She gave us information about places to visit and restaurants to try. The room was clean. Parking was easy to find and were able to park for up to 24 hrs so took advantage of looking around Lucca some more in the morning. The location was excellent, not far to walk to places of interest and bars/cafes and restaurants.

MariaPia was an amazing host, easy to contact and always replied promptly. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the most comfortable bed we slept in on our trip to Tuscany. The location was perfect, close to the wall and the town centre, but overlooking a quiet piazza with a few restaurants. The addition of the collection and return to the station made the whole trip to Lucca a great success.

The bathroom is rather old fashioned - but in fairness everything was working, so no problems.

Great location - on the first floor of a traditional apartment set in a pretty piazza, just metres from the ancient walls & a couple of lovely restaurants on the doorstep. The spacious room was very clean, comfortable with traditional and ornate decoration. The owner was fabulous - so helpful and considerate. She collected us from the train station and gave us a lift back to the train station as we were leaving - very kind indeed!

La Camelia is situated in the Old Town: perfect to explore Lucca. We had a nice big room, coffee machine, air conditioning, comfy bed. The host was outstanding, picked us up from the train station and dropped us there at the end of our stay, helpful und very nice.
