The hotel didn't have comfortable common areas, but if you are not looking to spend much time at the hotel, that should be fine. We had a rainy day and it was hard to find a comfortable chair to sit and read.

This little hotel in the mountains seems to have been created specifically for the restaurant. The dinners where absolutely delicious based on local products and offering rich and tasteful meals. I did not expect such high quality dining in this little hotel in the mountains. Also, it was very reasonably priced (at around 30EUR pp with wine and dessert). Also, the room was modern, cozy and clean. The staff was great, especially the waitress who Im sure is part of the family who ones the hotel! Thank you for your hospitality!

The stay was wonderful. The entire staff is incredibly friendly! Even when there was a complete blackout, the owners have conjured up a feast for us (and despite request nothing charged for it) and made sure that in the dark nothing happens to anyone! The entire house was always absolutely clean and the double room with mountain view is sufficient in size even for a stay for 8 nights! The restaurant is very cozy, incredibly tasty and that even the locals come to eat also speaks for it. The location has a great view of the mountains and into the valley and is a good starting point for easy walks along the lake to difficult mountain hikes. And as an encore the sweet highland cattle outside the door and the house cat Branca...who likes to sleep on your lap if you let him.

The location was simply beautiful right in front of the mountains. The rooms feel authentic yet modern. Excellent food. The fact that the cows are right next to you, you feel really immersed and one with nature.

Fantastic place, cozy design of the unit with the spa bathrooms and amazing view. The staff was welcoming and we enjoyed a great breakfast with fresh bakery products, homemade yoghurt/butter/cheese/salami/jams. The restaurant serves fantastic food with local and homemade produce. Will definitely come back.

No negative points, everything was exceptional. Keep in mind that the property is a farm, the terrain is difficult, and during the winter months there can be ice and snow on the ground. If you're not ready for everything that comes with that, maybe this is not the right place for you.

It was clear from the moment of our arrival at Boton d'Oro that we had chosen the right place for our Christmas holiday. Giovanni and the team were extremely hospitable and friendly; also during our stay, they checked multiple times whether everything was alright, or we needed something. We occupied three rooms in total, two double rooms with spa bath, and one superior double room. The two first ones were located in the same cottage, where our breakfast would also be served, and where we would spend time during the evenings by the chimney. The superior double room, was located a few meters further down a path, in a separate cottage. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very warm (a luxury nowadays even in expensive resorts). Every morning the very kind and polite lady (whose name unfortunately we forgot to ask) was greeting us and preparing our breakfast with attention and care. It is hard to not relax and immerse yourself in the peace of this place. The views from Boton d'Oro are stunning; the sun kisses the hill on which the property lies from early in the morning - one could easily spend the entire day admiring the surrounding peaks, or nights admiring the stars and the infinite sky. During our stay we dined several evenings in the restaurant of the farm, where we were utterly satisfied every single time. The politeness of the staff, the quality of the locally sourced ingredients, and the preparation of the dishes were all on point. Our holiday was truly magical, we will think fondly of it for a long time to come, and hopefully we will return there again someday!

We only stayed for one night en route between other destinations. Our main criterion was something up in the mountains as we crossed the Dolomites from Italy into Austria and we were looking for some quiet between the bustle of visits to big cities. Our choice was a perfect one as the lodge was set at the end of a driveway on a hill with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Ambient noise was limited to grazing cows. The food is locally sourced and of great quality, be sure to try the restaurant for dinner, the breakfast is also great to kick-start your day. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the internet was good, free parking outside. Highly recommendable for a quick getaway from busy everyday life.

Although our server was very kind a tried to be helpful, she had difficulty translating the menu for us. We were unable to locate any English-speaking channel on the TV so that we could catch up on the news.

Incredibly beautiful location. Very kind and attentive staff. Food in restaurant, including at breakfast, was very good. We liked the small elevator to help us get our bags to the top floor.

I loved it all, it’s not walking distance to a town though but you have breakfast and dinner at the B&B and won’t need any other options!

Fantastic experience. Views were unmatched. Jacuzzi bath tub was so relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and in a cozy setting. The staff was friendly and helpful, they let me stay in the common area (a beautiful living room) a few hours after checkout to do some work. This was a gem and a surprise! It is very high up on the mountain, so you get beautiful views. It has a cozy and modern feel at the same time. The bathroom was very modern which I liked. Beautiful art and decorations everywhere.

Really nothing to complain about!

Exceptional gem high up on the slope towards the mountains! On the outside, a beautiful historic farm/barn, on the inside, an incredibly stylish modern B&B, all in wood, and a fabulous restaurant offering highest quality local fare (many ingredients are from the farm's own production). The staff is really thoughtful and considerate, couldn't be better service!!!

I enjoyed the concept: a very old farm house transformed into a quite modern location. We stayed at the second floor and we had elevator! 👍 Wonderful views from the balcony and from the restaurant terrace. The staff was very nice. I appreciated Sheila very much - a very energetic and happy person. With very good Enghlish speaking
