Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaI had a wonderful time in Pompeii and surrounding areas. AJ suite was in an ideal location for the ruins, travel tours for surrounding sights and it is located within short walking distances to great eateries, grocery and fresh fruit and vegetable store. My room was a great size with a great little private veranda over looking lemon, orange and olive trees with mountains in the distance. My host was warm and caring and went out of her way to ensure I had what I needed and helped me in any way she could. I was highly impressed and thankful.

Very good located, with a nice balcony and everything was clean. Spacious room with a common area kitchen. Milena was very kind, and would have let us stay even longer than the normal check out time.

Milena, the host, was very helpful and communication was good. Both the room and the shared areas were very clean and comfortable. The building is in a nice area, quiet and within walking distance of the ruins, the cathedral and various shops, bars and restaurants. 2 of the 3 stations are also close by. Our room faced the side and we did not have a view of Vesuvius but we still had a nice view. The shared balcony on the dining area does face Vesuvius and the view is stunning. We couldn't use it on this occasion as there was scaffold up but Milena informed us of this beforehand and gave us the option to cancel but we went with it and are so glad we did. This was the perfect base for us and we hope to go back.

This place was so well located. Beautifully furnished and styled and it smell so good! Although we did not have the whole view due to construction, staff were very polite and provided us with a free breakfast for two from a local place, that was also great.

ItalySpecial thanks to Milena! We were unfortunately late for bad traffic, but she waited for us from afternoon to late night, and even allowed us to leave the room later. This room has a big balcony facing the center part of Pompei (you can see my photo). It's also comfortable and warm to stay.

AustraliaWe struggled with choosing open windows (street noise) or air con (which worked well but was very loud.)
The location was just next to the beautiful Cathedral and community square with cooling fountains. Lovely restaurants (don’t confuse with the Pompei Scavi area). We could see the church from the kitchen balconette. Everything was a nice quality. The suites are all on level 6. The kitchen is shared and has a lovely view. Half of the suites look over the church. Others have a different view. If I were planning again, I would stay in Pompei (Sorrento so touristy and busy, Naples to gritty for me). Pompei is tranquil, and this house offered more space (shared kitchen and balconette) than just a bedroom and shower.

ItalyBecause the common space hand shared, the kitchen wasn't cleaned up after other guests, which I didn't really like.
The property does not include breakfast, but you can ask for breakfast. They have a Bar that can cook breakfast. My boyfriend and I chose to eat here for breakfast three days and it was delicious. The breakfast is varied and the service is friendly. I enjoyed it very much. The balcony in the room was my favourite part of the room. You can overlook the cityscape and one day my boyfriend and I enjoyed the sunset and the fireworks in the distance, which I will remember for a long time. Of course, the room is clean and bright. The bathroom is fully equipped with shampoo and shower gel and hair dryer. The air conditioning worked well too! Communication with Aliena (the house master) also made me relaxed.

United KingdomCommunication on how to get to the apartment could have been better as there are several bus stations and train stations. A lady at the tourist office was very helpful. Host should perhaps note down bus lines that go past the apartment to help guests . We spent some time trying to get there. There is a large kitchen area with fridge, cooker , microwave and small dishwasher yet absolutely no cooking equipment except 1 pot. The oven had no shelves in it. It almost seems that the host discourages cooking. If all rooms are full there would not be enough knives forks spoons etc. I have marked the apartment down for this as not everyone wants to eat out every night which is why we book apartments as opposed to hotel rooms. There is a coffee machine , no kettle for those who don’t drink coffees. I did mention this to the host who offered to go out and buy some cooking utensils however it was getting late in the evening. This should not be an afterthought in a self catering apartment or it should be noted in booking description that there are no cooking utensils or equipment. Although the host was very pleasant there was a lot of discussion and excuses via what’s app. Properly equipping the apartment would benefit all guests.
This accommodation was quite unusual somewhat similar to an Airbnb or hostel. Although we had our own room with bathroom we shared the rest of the apartment (kitchen area) with other guests . It is basically 5 or 6 rooms inside a big apartment. We booked it to explore Pompeii so did the job. The apartment is central to everything, town centre, entrance to the ruins . The view from our room looked directly onto Mount Vesuvius and the old church. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean .

United StatesIt is a nice clean room on the highest floor of the building. There is a shared kitchen with coffee provided. Also, the air conditioner worked well - and it was needed the week we were there :) The host, Milena, was very accommodating with check-in times and gave some good recommendations for restaurants to try.

GermanyThe location of the accommodation is perfect. Very central, the train station is in 10 minutes walking distance and you can reach the ruins in in 10-15 minutes. The host is a perfect and very friendly, always there if you need something or if you have questions. We had a great stay! We had a mini balcony with a great view over Pompei. The room is very big and very clean, we can totally recommend this accommodation! We would definitely come back again.
