Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis stay was not what we had hoped given prior reviews. Room was small but adequate. The shower had all sorts of black mildew or mold growing around the grout lines and seams. Near bedtime we got extremely hot in the room. We carry a portable thermometer and the temp was almost 79 Fahrenheit. when we called the front desk, they told us the AC could not be turned on and that our only option was to open the window. Well it was pouring rain that night. We opened the window anyway and got the temperature to drop a few degrees but not sufficient for sleeping. We had a horrible night’s sleep and woke up covered in mosquito bites from having to open the window. The breakfast was OK except that the bacon was not fully cooked, apparently, because a few hours later my husband had a violent case of food poisoning. He ate nothing else that would have caused a problem. Staff was a bit brusque at the front desk. Did not get a warm welcome and person seemed upset that we asked some questions. Maybe we just caught this place on a bad day but sadly I can’t recommend this hotel.

United StatesWe were not in the main hotel, but in some other building 2 blocks away. We had to wheel our suitcases the 2 blocks haul them up the stairs because in this other building there was no elevator. No coffee in the room. The room was very stripped down, felt like a cell. It was very unattractive. We thought we were getting a four star hotel at that price.
The location was good, the staff was friendly. But this was not a four star hotel as advertised and pruced

Hungarywe booked superior room, unfortunetly some mosaic tiles are missing from bathroom, wall was dirty, some chip on the furniture, wifi was extremly poor, bathtube was dirty. Overal I felt the room is quite used and not regulary checked. Based on comments and price I had a higher expactation about quality and clearness.
great location, friendly helpful stuff (given list of the restaurant, try to fix poor wifi) bar is available at ground floor, easy to find and also parking is good, i like the size of the hotel.

Germany1. The lady at the reception was very unfriendly. At the check-in she told us on a very rough tone that we didn’t declared our little child by the booking. We apologized and told her that he is sleeping in our bed and also accepted the 50€ additional fee without any comments. The additional fee was high, but ok…the way she communicated it to us felt like a punishment that we tried to cheat her and rob her from the money. at the end we payed roughly 250€ for one night in a wannabe boutique hotel for a 12m2 room and a spartan breakfast. 2. I drove the whole Ferrara to find a parking place, after 45min found one and had to go to the hotel 15 min. on foot. The option was to pay 25€ from 10Pm to 8am for a garage.
the Location of the hotel is perfect, right across the castle.

AustriaIf you want to leave your luggage for some hours in the hotel after checkout, you have to rent a locker at hefty 8 € for a larger one, which is ridiculous to our opinion Music on lobby and breakfast room was a bit too loud.
Main building directly at Piazzetta del Castello, facing the Este Castle. Secure storage for bicycles in a small courtyard, which however costs 5€ per bike. Our room in the Dependance was spacious for 2 persons and hat a terrace, although in a small courtyard.
