Excellent food, beautiful rooms, perfect surroundings

The hotel was excellent and the lake view was stunning. We loved being able to enjoy our dinner on the terrace, watching the sunset after a long day of travelling.

I am not the best sleepr, so I would appreciate some black out courtsins.. plus the condotioner that I mentioned earlier. Other than that, great place to stay! Thank you

We had a great time at this nice family hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, location right by the sea and a great new sauna we recommend to try! Our room was a bit outdated, but very clean and tidy. The bathroom on the other hand was brand new, with nice design and having everything we needed. I only missed a conditioner. Other than that, you get a pair of slippers, robes, hair dryer, sweets, selection of teas, coffee and a kettle in the room.. we almost felt like home :)

I can't say that I didn't like the restaurant, but the variety of dishes there is very modest. And the prices a bit too high in my opinion.

The attached restaurant was full of locals at the weekend - so obviously well regarded - but we didn't think that their service and food was quite as good as they obviously did themselves. There are alternatives in the town - two cafe style places (both excellent) and a Michelin restaurant (not tried.)

A charming small hotel in a quiet location overlooking Lake Maggiore. Onsite parking, down a set of steps, and attached to a restaurant. Our terrace overlooked the pool and the lake, and was overlooked by all other rooms but was nice, quiet and comfortable. It proved to be a great base for our four day stay in the area, close to attractions but away from the grotty tourist strip at the southern end of the lake. Although we did not try the pool, I had some pleasant swims in the lake from the public beach about 100 metres away.

Very nice and comfortable, family-owned hotel.The lake view is stunning. The restaurant serves an excellent cuisine. having dinner on the outdoor terrace is a must do. The staff is very efficient and friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Belvedere hotel. The staff was extremely kind, the bedroom was quite spacious and very clean and the view is magnificent. Both the breakfast and the meals at the restaurant were excellent, I highly recommend and will return.

Parking situation was challenging. The lot fills up with restaurant diners and there can be no place for guests to park. Lots of steps to get up to the building

Ranco is a small town with not much happening. It has a laid back feeling. We did find a fabulous place called “ Rocca di Angera” nearby which was a fabulous medieval fortress and gardens with an amazing toy museum. Well worth the visit.
