Cute place, with a lot of personality. Extremely well located, the street outside was very charming. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby.

Breakfast room was small and full on our first morning so gave it a miss as plenty of establishments in the vicinity which do a great breakfast, did us favour really! Chose the wrong time of year to book as big conference was on and which affected room rates, many hotels do this not a criticism of Albergo delle Drapperie specifically.

Superb location, turn left right and bars and restaurants all around. Plenty of storage in our room to hang clothes. Despite comment about avoiding conferences this is not the hotels fault but it can make a big difference on the room rate so worth looking at different dates if you have flexibility. We look around the neighbourhood at other hotels as we walked around but this in an excellent location and would go back here.

Excellent location in quiet, car-free medieval city centre; hotel door opening onto street of market stalls; bird song and street sounds in the morning from a lovely room up under the roof. Lovely, helpful staff; great base for our 4 days in Bologna.

The room was small and noisy, the bathroom was not very clean and the shower didn’t drain and overflowed all over the floor.

The breakfast was reasonable. The location was the best part. When you walk out of the hotel you head into a very cute little road lined with beautiful shops filled with flowers, produce and meats and cheeses. It looks like it’s right out of a movie!

The hotel is situated in a central location, which allows you to easily explore the city center and points of interest. It is very stylish, with boutique like decor. Good room and bathroom sizes, very clean.

It is said that breakfast starts 7:30, but at that time staff only starts to prepare them and it takes about an hour. Thus, if you need to be somewhere on a specific time (catch a train, have a business meeting, etc.) and want to have breakfast early, it is possible that you will not have full breakfast.

The bed could have been slightly more comfortable. But I think this is overshadowed by the rest of the perks of staying here.

Very last minute booking in Bologna and they accommodated everything. The location is very central to everything in Bologna. You walk out the door and you're in the center of the markets. The room is nice and cozy. 1-2 people in a queen room is a nice space. I did not eat breakfast, however it did look nice. There is an additional charge for breakfast.

Our room on the top floor was a bit cramped and its entrance hall could do with a little TLC but we enjoyed staying there.

The perfect place from which to explore the foodie heart of Italy's food capital. Amazing food shops and stalls on the doorstep and excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Indeed everything is within easy walking distance, including the historic towers, museums, squares. And with Bologna's wonderful covered walkways (porticos) you can happily wander around even if it's raining. Friendly and helpful staff. Camila was great!

Our room size was on the small size but as we exploring the city most of the day, it wasn't a concern. From what I understand there were other rooms that were larger so our room may not have been atypical of what the hotel has to offer. The lift only commences from the first floor so stairs need to be negotiated from the ground to first floor. However the staff happily volunteered to carry our bags if we wished. In our case, it was not necessary.

Albergo delle Drapperie is an excellent hotel very close to a lot of historic monuments, shops and restaurants so the location was ideal for our first visit to Bologne. The front desk staff were all extremely helpful. They happily ordered taxis for us and were very responsive to any request.

The location is above a noisy alley - the fishmonger starts prepping at 5:30 am. And the restaurants are noisy in the evening. The room was immaculate; I was just nervous about the travertine stone with holes in a shower.

The staff is excellent. Everyone is helpful and attentive and kind. We really enjoyed our stay here.
