It's nosy at night as everything echoes down the hallway and the light switches tick at night. I'm a sensitive sleeper so this bothered me, but these issues are common in old houses.

The location is great for anything you plan to do in Florence. We didn't expect a buffet style breakfast which was really nice. The staff are super friendly, especially at reception. We were always greeted with a smile and accepted any questions we had.

- rooms are not soundproof so you can hear everything from the other rooms - wifi was very weak in our room because we were at the farthest but it was okay at the lobby - everything was in sachets (shower gels and even olive oil) so not very eco friendly - sewer-like smell from the bathroom - facilities are outdated

- excellent front desk - perfect location near Duomo, restaurants, and shops - comfortable bed

This hotel was exactly as we expected, nothing super fancy but most definitely very clean, in a great location, with good sized rooms, quiet and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and the breakfast was great. The lady who was serving in the breakfast area each morning was incredibly friendly and helpful and really made the place feel very welcoming. The location was absolutely perfect for us, within a fair walk from the central station, but very close by to a lot of the attractions of central Florence. If you're looking for something neat, clean, safe, comfortable and in a great location but don't need it to be 5 stars, then I'd highly recommend it.

Thin walls so you might hear some noise coming from other rooms/guests.

Great location, walking distance from everywhere, including the train station. Nice staff. Rooms are very simple but clean and have all the necessary commodities.

We had a short one night stay as we were at n our way to Rome from Venice. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The family room was spacious and clean.

Hot Water pressure was Leo low that it wasn’t great to shower. For one night stay it was ok though.

Great location, in the heart of Florence, from our room we could even see the Brunelleschi Cupola. Nice buffet breakfast, with bacon and eggs too.

Lack of enough towel space in the bathroom and no soap holder or shelf in the shower. No European power socket all rare local Italian and cannot take a European (German/French) plug. Many other hotels have at least on or two European sockets.

This is the only place we stayed where I have observations (a bit negative). If this is rated a 3 star hotel, and I think it is, maybe it should be rated 2. Someone should check out the shower panels in our room (312?), one of which was all cracked in an area about 4 inches by 7 inches. Seriously someone needs to replace that! Also, whoever put in the door molding around the door as you exit the bathroom missed about 3 inches of molding - it’s just missing. The bathroom provides zero room to put one’s toiletries, they have to be left in the room itself. The hotel gives you little packets of shampoo/body wash similar to a ketchup packet. We didn’t care, didn’t want them anyway. The housekeeping team kept it all clean, cheers to them! The reception men were great, good advice, friendly. But the blonde woman needs a lesson in how to handle a problem with more grace. These 2 problems did not involve us, but we observed them. Last morning, a quite large group of people had apparently asked for breakfast bags-to-go, which they had in their hands. But they also wanted to eat at the breakfast buffet. Stupid, really ! She correctly said, no you can’t do that but they were all grumbling. It was her manner in telling them. If she had said she would love to accommodate that but sadly she could not, it would have been much better. Instead, she basically said, scram! Another example escapes me but same thing. She needs to practice a more genial demeanor.
