Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Kuwait1. i could vividly hear the activities of the room above me :/ (walking, opening cupboards, etc.) 2. the rooms smells abit like old wood (i think its the furniture). 3. gets abit warm at night and the AC does not work (this is in june). 4. abit low staffed. 5. no room service, they offer breakfast from 8 till 10 ish. thats about it. 6. could update the room's multimedia. satellite tv is not exactly shredding the hospitality sector.
1. the staff were great, very helpful and eager to assist. thank you guys ✌🏼 2. cleaning services are excellent. 3. locations is convenient, adjacent to the historical part of como.

IrelandThis is not a 4 star hotel! Staff were nice and helpful but our economy room was seriously in need of modernisation. The walls were stained and the electrics were dangerous. There is a fine line between antique and just plain old. The light in the room was poor and it was small for two people. The swimming pool was ridiculous and is likely only there so the four star rating can be applied.
Near old city. Dodgy area just in front of the hotel. Good bathroom and shower. Comfortable beds. Good parking on site (€20 per day)

United KingdomThe we travelled with a baby and had a cot provided by the hotel. The cot was quite old and worn although the bedding was nice and clean. The bathroom had a few broken light bulbs and the shower would leak water all over the floor when we showered. The breakfast was quite poor, given it was a 4 star hotel. Not many options for hot food. When working, the wifi wasn’t strong enough (even in the conference room) to manage several laptops connected to the wifi.
The style of the hotel was very nice and the location was perfect.

United StatesI cannot recommend Albergo Le Due Corti highly enough. The front desk staff was the nicest, friendliest I've ever encountered. Above and beyond customer service. The hotel itself is architecturally fascinating and lovely. The room was small but comfortable and more than met my needs. One of the reasons I would return to Como would simply be to stay at Albergo Le Due Corti. I've never said that about a hotel before. Do not hesitate to book your stay here.

United KingdomEverything was a little outdated, the old-style of the hotel itself was lovely, but I think the rooms could use a little updating. Breakfast was also not the greatest, there could have been a bit more selection in terms of hot foods.
It was a very beautiful building and the staff were lovely and friendly. The location is great too!

RomaniaThe value per money. It was very expensive for what it offered. The room was small, and the shower was also extremely small, I can't imagine a big guy fitting in there. And the shower water pressure was small, very hard to take a quick shower.
The breakfast was incredible, best breakfast served at a hotel that I've seen so far. Room was also clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they ordered a taxi for us.

United Kingdomour room was very dated, and half open bottle of coke in welcome fridge. bedside light wasn’t plugged in as there was no socket! bathroom had seen better days, very old. At breakfast, a half finished ‘individual’ jam was offered to us, and all ‘hot foods’ were cold.
The location was good , also the reception was in a beautiful old building

CanadaWould have preferred a shower as the tub with a wand requires a bit of forethought and careful manipulation, but we had not requested a shower specifically so managed to figure it out.
This hotel was perfect for our four-night stay. Despite the fact that we booked at the very last minute, the front desk staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, the breakfast offering is very good and fresh and the service staff provided quick coffee service. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean and the location is ideal for exploring Como.

United KingdomWe arrived at the reception of this 4-star hotel and were given a room in a separate building. The way to the room was a bit scary, with rubbish bins on the landing outside the lift (see photo), an old disgusting chair, a mouse trap, cigarette butts in the plant pots on the balcony (see photo) and then we go into the room and the room smells like an ashtray. Room 3 is old, smelly, with damp spots on the ceiling (see photo). We go back to the reception to complain and the receptionist, without apologising or showing any level of empathy then proceeded to challenge every complaint, in a defensive manner and pretending that we were the first customers to complain. Worst of all, she implied that it was our fault 'but you booked an economy room' (which cost €168!!). I reminded her that as a four-star hotel EVERY room should meet the standard. They moved us to a better room, with no stink, but it was very dirty and full of dust. We woke up in the morning with insect bites on our back and on parts of the skin covered by our underwear. Mites, fleas or lice? Who knows. I've been to 2 star hotels which seemed luxury by comparison. The swimming pool is located in a parking lot next to the breakfast room. The pool opens at 11.00 and checkout is at 10.00 so if you arrive after 7pm, for one night, you won't be able to use it. Tips: customer service training for reception staff, housekeeping checks, room renovations.
The breakfast was ok. But the staff were rushed and inpatient which tells me that they were understaffed.
