Don't try to park in front of the hotel if you drove a SUV. It's very narrow way to go through before you reach the hotel.

It is obvious that in the past the hotel was an attraction, but at present times it looks old but not in a good way. Avoid eating in the hotel restaurant if you can.

Found the place at short notice while traveling. It is a beautiful hotel located in the countryside, very elegant. The restaurant was very good (had dinner and breakfast). Wish we would stay one more night... And what a garden

Great staff from the moment we arrived… nothing was too much trouble. The views from the terrace are stunning and it was great every morning enjoying them over breakfast and the evening meal. The standard of food was a level above and the evenings were enjoyed at the outside bar in the courtyard style entrance. The hotel is up on a hill that is accessed through a medieval castle and the streets are particularly narrow which made the stay even more romantic. Easy access to the coast roads which are slow with sightseeing tourists or you can nip in to Naples on the toll road which is 40 minutes. Lots of walkers enjoying the hills. Wouldn’t hesitate staying again at this special privately owned (6 generations) gem… old school elegance that you struggle to find this days.

A lovely classy hotel up a mountain, reached by narrow cobbled streets. Very old school Italian. Beautiful views and location. Breakfast was excellent.

Even though the views are quite stunning, there were several areas which I feel there is definitely room for improvement. Breakfast is not really up to a 4 star standard. In fact options were quite limited whilst breakfast items were average. Staff were continuously eating items from the breakfast items which obviously does not look professional at all. We stayed for 5 nights and our bed sheets were not always changed.

I really liked the views and our room was very comfortable.

For a hotel of this 4 star standard just a few of the staff seemed disinterested and aloof. Just going through the motions. This was mainly in the dining experience. Evening meal options were ok but not wowing. We dined quite a bit there but also had much more amazing sea food meals and other choices at restaurants in Amalfi, Positano and sorrento

Breakfast was a varied and good quality continental offering. Standard bedroom. Nice pool with beautiful mountain views. Loved the Pool Guy " Francisco" who gave us a 5* experience. Nice relaxed vibe about the hotel. Great location if you love the mountains and away from the hussle and bussle. Beautiful gardens add to the ambience.

The quality of the breakfast was not good- especially all the crossaints were old and not made with good ingredients. I would prefer higher quality products, fresh, natural. Also I was disappointed to arrive and not be allowed a table on the terrace with the view, as they were setting up for lunch (it was 9:50am)

This hotel is a fantastic place to relax, offering great views of the mountains, a large garden, a swimming pool, plenty of spaces to sit and unwind, very friendly staff, and absolutely no traffic noise, as it’s located at the end of a cul-de-sac. We stayed for a whole week and were sad to leave.

I would only suggest to increase the number of options or daily vary the restaurant menu. However there are 3 other restaurants within a walking distance so this provided us with a variety.

Beautiful location next to a historic abbey and mountain trails. Great facilities including an on site restaurant, pool bar and ice cream and drinks bar. Highly recommended.

Minor points: The room is in a particular classic style that could be refurnished. The hotel is quiet but you can hear flushing noise.
