After travelling for a while this was our least favourite hotel that we stayed in. In all of our many years of travel I have never come across a hotel that centrally controls the air conditioning. Which means that they control the hours it can be turned on. I woke up every day at 3am dripping in sweat. I was told to open the balcony door to let air in. It did nothing and on top of that the noise from outside was very loud and the mosquitos came inside our room and bit us. This resulted in me not being able to go back to sleep. Very hard to deal with when you are jet lagged and dealing with 30 degree days and we were also celebrating our wedding anniversary. By the end of my stay I felt very run down and tired. On top of this we found the manager Malena to be extremely rude. If good ventilation, aircon and customer service is important to you then I highly don’t recommend this place.

The only positive was the location and the view from the terrace.

Location is amazing! The hotel is very interesting with antique pieces of furniture, that make the hotel looks unique! The bar in the hotel very nice with spectacular view and the barmen very professional- amazing drinks, even he gave us cognac in warm glasses- outstanding!!!

A mini fridge in the room would have been nice.

The Hotel was easy to reach from Corso Umberto. The breakfast was delicious, except for the coffee which was too americano for our taste. Great value for money.

The nights were awful! The noise from the restaurant and bars below didn't stop till almost 1 AM. And it was loud, seriously loud. Then a woman walked down the halls at 2 PM singing at the top of her voice. They were supposed to change our room after the first night, but since we couldn't hang around the next morning as we were due to be at Mt. Etna for an excursion, they didn't do anything at all. Hotel is dated, needs a refreshment of furnitures etc., repainting the walls in some areas. Lighting was really bad in the bathroom over the sink. No parking except parking lot about 500 meters away that charged €25/day, followed by a steep climb back to the hotel.

Staff was rude and inconsistent. Our room right by reception was SO loud, got a 5am wake up call every morning because of people talking and yelling outside the room.

The hotel is VERY outdated. The decor makes one cringe (my eyes were bleeding) They charge extra for the key of the safe. It's 1.50 euro per day, not much but C'mon! Are they serious? It's the principle...🙄

The location is superb if you want to be in town, but not good if you want to be at the beach. The staff is great and super helpful. The balcony in the room is nice, we had partial view of the sea.

Superb location in central Taormina. A wonderful hotel - artistically designed and filled with art. Comfortable rooms. All staff were professional, helpful and delightful. Jaw-dropping views of Taormina especially from the rooftop bar. We highly recommend the breakfast there too. My friend and I had a great experience there.

STAY AWAY, HOTEL CONTROLS AC AND ROOM WAS SWELTERING EVERYDAY!!!!!! THEY SHUT OFF IN HOTTEST PARTS OF DAY. SEVERAL TOURISTS COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW HOT THE ROOMS WERE CONSTANTLY THEY DIDNT CARE. NO REFRIG IN ROOM. ONLY PLACE TO GET WATER WAS FROM THEM FOR MONEY. NO PARKING ANYWHERE NEAR. TOURIST BEWARE - I WOULD NOT COME IN WARM MONTHS. NO AC. THEY WONT TURN IT ON AND CONTROL IT AT ALL TIMES. WONT BE BACK.

The location is so close to everything, very easy to find your way around, then back to Hotel. The downstairs entrance puts you a step or two away from Via Umberto. Staff so very helpful and the most incredible breakfast every day. Loved our stay.

I didn’t like two people at the front desk , the older male receptionist, Alfredo, I believe it was his name, no name tags. He seemed very confused and disorganized! He told me I have reservation made for two nights only , by Expedia, and I need to pay for 3 or 4 more nights! I tried to explain him that I made my reservation by Booking.com not Expedia but he wouldn’t listen to me and put me down. After 10 minutes of arguing with me he said he made a mistake and he was looking at the different name! He was rude and never nice or helpful and gave me the key to safety deposit box that didn’t work. He wouldn’t even try to be helpful! Another one was Milana, really rude, cold and not nice, treated me badly!Never a smile on this woman’s face. I was dealing with 3 male clerks there and 2 younger guys seemed okay, just the oldest one and Milana were rude and condescending towards me! I felt very uncomfortable around them! They shouldn’t work with people visiting the hotel because their attitude gives wrong vibes to tourists like me…

Air conditioning centralized, the room was either too hot or too cold. No mini bar / small refrigerator in the room The shower was broken The mattress wasn't a double bed but two small beds Noisy room! The room was really close to the Hotel Reception we could hear everything and every new guest!
