It was written in confirmation "• Socket near the bed •". But it wasn't!!! Only in the kitchen and I should seat and wait for hours. And they have taken 2,5 euro city tax instead of 2 by law

The water in the shower was cold, the bathroom extremely dirty. The beds were very unstable and only one ladder for 3 upper beds. It was really loud due to the street outside.

The location is good and the welcoming was kind.

The WORST hostel experience! Even if it's cheap it's not worth your shattered nerves. When you book a place you expect at least to have a bed for yourself and the opportunity to use the bathroom. In Alexander Hostel you don't get any of them. First of all you should be very careful with your personal belongings. Hostel staff move them when you are out and I've lost my jewelry this way. When you try to report problem to the owner the only way to communicate is whatsapp but he doesn't reply (and he is never in the hostel). There are two women that work there. First is called Felicita and she is completely lost all the time. She doesn't speak English neither Italian. She acts really weird all the time. Next one is called Sara and she was nice at the beginnig but she shouted on me when I tried to use the shower. It's not easy because there is only one bathroom for the whole hostel and both shower, toilette and sink are in the same room. It means that you need to be very patient even if you just need to pee or wash your hands. There is no light in the bathroom so for example Felicita pees with the door open instead of fix this problem. There is only very cold water. When you try to take a shower after one minute Felicita and Sara start to bang the door and scream at you. Sometimes they do the overbooking. One night I wasn't able to sleep because next to me there was a discussion about the bed reserved for two different girls. Felicita was entering to the room many times this night and she looked into the beds that were occupied trying to find the free one. It was in the middle of the night, she was doing a lot of noise and leaving the light inside. The door to the female dorm are broken and it makes a lot of noise each time. Actually everything is broken, dirty and really disgusting there.

I have been traveling for 5 months and I have been in so many alright hostels, but omg this one is the worst. First of all, the area is sketchy and not safe. The hostel is on the 6th floor and you need 5 cents for the elevator. There were two bathrooms (one for men and one for women) for over 15 people. They are SO dirty with no hot water. There is no fan, the window was open which means mosquito’s bites all over your body (seriously they’re vicious), not necessarily their fault but just so you know. There was no outlets in the room, so you had to charge your phone in the kitchen. I also saw some bugs in my bed and on the wall, and I wasn’t sure if they’re bedbugs since I got bitten all over. Now let me tell you the worst of all, I booked a room in a 6 beds female dormitory, but there was a 7th bed for apparently the night worker? Who lived there and all of her stuff was in the room. She kept the door open all day/night, and she snored like an ANIMAL so loudly all night AND morning. We simply could not sleep, it was so awful. She moved people’s stuff and just threw them around. The phone was ringing at 3am sometimes and the location in itself is just noisy. It is also far away from the center or “touristy” areas. Save your money because I was in a hurry and didn’t check the ratings, but whatever it is, DO NOT STAY HERE. You can spend the same amount at a far better place.

The day shift worker was very nice and friendly and the location was very close to the station.

Dilapidated hostel, even if it's cheap. The host is not always at the hostel during the arriving hours. 2 TINY bathrooms (1 male, 1 female) for at least 20 beds. Sometimes toilet tissue missing. Mould on bath and walls. VERY dirty bathroom sink. For the room: good, comfortable mattress (only good point!!!) but structure of the bunk bed very unstable if you sleep up. No locker with key as it is said and shown on the website. Plugs almost dangerous because old and very close to your head when you sleep. No fire detector. Beasts walking on the wall when you sleep. 1st door downstairs (when you enter the building) obsolete, you need to move the key (while it's in the locker) right and left and up and down for some minutes before being able to turn it normally to open the door (???). I should have stayed 2 nights, finally I stayed only one.

Comfortable beds and quiet at night. Nice woman who welcomed me but she speaks only few english. Kitchen ok.

All is absolutely terrible. Dirty. Noisy. Weird people insine. No personal responsible. Bad zone. They gave me the wrong keys so I couldn't go into the building. Absolutely outrageous. I couldn't sleep. I lost one night because I preferred to changed my hotel.

It was close to the bus and train station so it was easy with luggages, it was a dorm but it was well kept and neat with clean sheets and towels…., I slept comfortably and it was worth the money

Firstly, the hostel is filthy. The bathroom was disgusting and the door lock hangs by 1 loose screw. I’m pretty sure our bedding was not changed before we arrived, as it had stains and hair on it. Also, the door to the female room is leant on the wall and pretty much is decoration. We left for the whole day and after coming back, we found that one of our beds was given to another guest. 4 more girls arrived close to midnight, just to be told to leave, as they hostel was overbooked. The lady speaking did not want to refund them and simply asked them to leave (the area is not safe even during day time). The “boss” came and argued with the girls, telling them to call the police if they want, suggesting that they have somewhere to sleep (2 beds between 4 girls).
