Food was so-so (although tbh we only had breakfast there) and feather pillows would have improved the beds.

The staff was very accommodating and the location can’t be beat. Very nice old building nicely decorated.

Some of the hotel was being renovated and it was tricky to find the front door. This also meant that the breakfast tables were a little tight for space. I expect that will all go away when the work is finished

Breakfast service was a bit slow; appear to be understaffed. Our room had several steps (including 3 downward steps immediately upon opening the door) and check-in staff didn’t alert us.

Excellent, high caliber hotel. It was previously a palace and has been completely renovated. Comfortable rooms, excellent beds and showers. Centrally located. Delicious breakfast buffet. We will return.

We had a great time at Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel. Great location, super friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room, delicious buffet breakfast. We spent only one night there, but would love to come back for a longer stay.

Rooms were quite small, beds ok-ish It’s quite noisy from the corridor, television or phone call from neighbors. At least you have the waves that covers it !

The bedroom was a bit cramped. We ate dinner at the hotel on the first night - the food was excellent, but there was little atmosphere in the dining room as it was almost empty.

There was a very good breakfast, with lots of choice and pleasant staff.

The only knock is valet parking takes one hour after notifying that you need your car. This is standard, so you better tell them you need your car one hour before actually needing it.

Staff were professional, courteous and efficient. Breakfast was "to die for" - if I stayed there too long, I'd die from overeating the fine food! Location and proximity to the main interests in Ortigia was great.

Our room was lovely, but it was definitely smaller than what we were expecting after looking at pictures online, so felt a little tight, but we were out and about most of the time anyhow.

We had a great stay here -- Ortigia is so small that everything is within walking distance, but was nice to be right on the water and in a calm area of town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They do offer valet parking, which is helpful because you can't park right outside of the hotel, so definitely be aware. There is also a parking lot relatively close that you can park in for a daily rate.

Really lovely charming old building in a great location. The communication before check-in gave clear instructions for the parking. The whole process of valet parking was not too expensive or time-consuming. Breakfast spread was great and the staff at breakfast were wonderful and hospitable. The bed was super comfortable.
