Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandAll great :)
I could not image more wonderful, beautiful and lovely stay in Venice. The interior of the hotel and rooms brings you to the historical Venice and makes you feel like an aristocrat. From our room we could see the canal and gondolas. The hotel is located basically in the historical centre, surrounded by canals, restaurants, bridges, shops. The main square is less than 5 mins away from the Antica Locanda. The staff is really friendly and ready to help with all kinds of things. Breakfast is basic but really nice and tasty. Absolutely will stay there next time I’ll be in Venice🙏

I only had breakfast once, it was fairly decent but I rather have a pot of coffee or better machine made coffee.

DenmarkThe breakfast was a bit boring, but defiantly better than what you usually get in Italy. Venice is expensive.

EgyptSleeping quality was so-so (but not the worst I met in Venice). First night there were neighbours who didt't care to low voices or carefully close the door - second night it was delicate but noticeble knocks from technical rooms on other side. Again, nothing too bad. Agreed with other, it worth to mark uneven areas under carped somehow, too easy too fall. Disagreed that stairways are superbad, they are normal steps not nartow and rails available. Those strange people who come into Venice unprepared for 1-2 nights once in lifetime, then carrying huge bags themself not hire handlers not use lockers or storage service, not use luggage delivery service or shared water taxi - should blame their brains and not hotels
The view! The terrace. And the staff. Location is very good(but not my favorite, but, The View!). 24hrs checkin and luggage storage. Note the coffeshop "Pasticceria Marchini Time" on Campo San Luca, its in front of large H&M shop; also Despar supermarkets - small one is in 3min on Grand Channel it have no visible sign look inside door arks for note it; and Farini pizzeria (specifically one between Rialto and Maria dei Miracole, its like 7min from the hotel) provide you very good pizza at half price

RomaniaThe bed was kind of cheap, television was hanging on a side and there is a permanent noise coming from the canal beneath the hotel (something like an engine/filter working all the time) which is unnoticeable as long as you stay with the window closed. And at last we would have liked to be at least asked if we needed help with our baggages (they didn't offer this service).
Location was fantastic. The hotel was very nice and just behind Piazza San Marco, we could easily reach every major location of the city. Stuff was nice and available. The view of the canal was nice (even if really narrow and enjoyable only if you would stay with your head out of the window). We didn't try breakfast but we can say it's at a fair price.

PortugalI was not a fan of having to leave your key and ask again for it at reception when coming and going from the room, especially since we sometimes arrived at unusual hours and had to ring the reception bell and wait for the receptionist to come help us.
The location is absolutely incredible. The room itself is small, in an old, typically venetian building, but clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant.

Hong KongNo.
Location of the hotel is almost perfect for me, both for arrival and departure. Room is maintained well. Since the beds are small as the hotel has to provide 2 twin beds in a relatively small room it would help if the mattress could provide better support. I understand this a rather personal preference as some other customers may prefer soft mattress. Breakfast - it would be nice if the hotel can try other supplier of coffee beans. Also some bananas for breakfast?

Good location between the rialto bridge and sant marco square. Staff were friendly and the room was cleaned and tidied every day. Enjoyed being able to lean out the window to see the canal.

GermanyThe hotel has no elevator, so we had to go up to our 4th floor room through the stairs but we didn't mind as it allowed us to see the decor 😀
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early at the hotel and the room was ready so they allowed us to check-in before the expected time. The room was clean and tended to every day (clear sheets and towels), we appreciated that they gave us complimentary venezian biscuits and drinks free of charge. The hotel has a great location, walking distance to the city and water transport (around 15min walk), we liked the decor and antic style. We enjoyed our stay at Antica Locanda Al Gambero

United KingdomStairs! Unfortunately due to the age and style of building there is no space for a lift, we were on the third floor and after a full day of walking over lots of bridges having to then climb three floors is an effort especially for older people. The bathroom grouting could also do with replacing as it is marked quite a bit around the bath. Maybe some drawers in the family room as the wardrobe space is very limited.
The style and furnishings were in keeping with traditional Venice. We stayed in the family room which was a nice size, and very clean the beds are very comfortable, there is a fridge in the room and also a safe and aircon for personal use. There was a good selection at breakfast and you could return to help yourself, coffee and tea are brought to you by the staff who are very pleasant. The reception staff were very obliging when faced with reasonable requests.
