Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Lovely, quiet and small B&B (only 2 rooms). Central location within the walls of Lucca. Exceptional continental breakfast and very friendly hosts (Luigi and Francesca). A perfect stay

Lovely B&B located in the heart of Lucca, surprisingly quiet for its location. Well-equipped, clean and specious room, stylish bathroom. Excellent breakfast with local produce and homemade cakes. And last but not least , the owners.... are fabulous hosts , very kind and welcoming, and extremely helpful in accommodating any requests. Highly recommended!

We liked everything about this apartment. Lorenzo and his wife were the perfect hosts. The breakfast was fabulous as was the apartment. If we come back to Lucca, this is where we will stay

Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.
This property is a hidden gem- it is centrally located, on a main street, yet our room was super quiet as it faced an inner courtyard. Our hosts, Francesca and Luigi, were very kind and hospitable— they provided us a delicious breakfast every morning. The room was spacious and comfortable; air conditioning, wifi and TV worked well. We will definitely return to this wonderful place!

Perhaps breakfast could be self service to avoid the feeling ( unintended of course) that we were detaining our hosts by not hurrying out

Very quiet room located not far inside the walled town near to easy blue parking. Our kind host met us. 1 of 2 spotless rooms in a typical italian old apartment building. A few minutes walk from everything with the best small bar for aperitivo just across the street. Modern bathroom with great shower, comfy bed and modern minimalist decor. Delightful hosts and an amazing breakfast that will see you through the day :) We loved it.

We were warmly welcomed into a delightful, very Italian apartment by our hosts. They provided a very varied and delicious breakfast. The property is in a small courtyard in the hub of Lucca. Despite its busy location it was very quiet and very comfortable.

There’s absolutely nothing I didn’t like.
This is an amazing place. Everything is immaculate and beautiful, top of the line and super stylish! Location is right in the center, very convenient and close to all major attractions and wonderful restaurants. Next time we’re in Lucca, we will definitely stay there again! Wish there was an outside space but the walls of Lucca are only a short walk and here you can sit. Also power lights on TVs and air con is annoying as the room is very dark and these lights blast out.
Very central and yet quiet - a lovely place to stay. The hosts were extremely kind and the breakfast was terrific.

The breakfast was excellent, the owners were super friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure you feel comfortable. Location was great for exploring. Highly recommend!
