Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The room was very cosy, the shared bathroom perfectly clean. We were given detailed instructions for self-check-in because we arrived late in the evening. That worked very well :) The breakfast was delicious and the host very nice, we were also allowed to leave our luggage at the accommodation after check-out to visit Verona!

The walls are very thin, you can hear the busy street quite well, also doors and keys from other rooms are audible quite loudly. But that's just how it is in an old building in a historical city, nothing too bad.
Everything worked very well, Cristiano contacted me beforehand to meet me at the check-in. The room was clean and well equipped (incl. USB adapter for charging). Breakfast was nothing special but had a small buffet in serlf service and covered all essentials.

Nothing that I didn't like.
I had a great time in Verona. Cristiano was a great host, he gave me a map and also information about the city. The room was good, bed was confortable, everything clean, breakfast was also good. Location was perfect, nice and quiet neighborhood, minutes walk from the arena. Highly recommend.

Location is very close to arena and other attractions. It’s easy to get public transport as there are 4 main bus stops nearby. Friendly, professional and accommodating staff. Neat, clean and well maintained

First of all, the host, Cristiano, is amazing—kind, helpful, and provides excellent service! The location is just outside the walls of the old city (a 2-minute walk from Juliet’s Tomb, and 10 minutes from the arena). The breakfast had everything you needed, the place was spotlessly clean, and the little terrace was the perfect spot to relax when it got too hot. I would go there again anytime. Thanks for the hospitality!

The breakfast had multiple choice and its buffet. I had my breakfast at the balcony which is really good and wonderful. The hotel provide one use shampoo and shower gel which is really convenience. Frankly speaking, the hotel is really quiet and safety, I enjoy myself a lot! Highly recommend for the low-budget traveler.

Only one of the 2 rooms we had was en suite, but it wasn't a major issue and we knew this when we booked.
This B&B is in a fantastic location for accessing Verona. It's close to the arena so it's just a walk back from the opera. It's walking distance from the train station too where you can get a bus to the airport. It's self-service, so you can treat it like your home, but the host appears around breakfast time and at convenient times to meet your needs. We also had his contact details in case we needed anything. He was friendly and easygoing.

Some traffic noise from the room during the night might make it difficult for a light sleeper.
Location of the hotel is very good, being within a stone's throw of the main attractions in Verona. The hotel manager is very pleasant and willing to help out, even when it came to storing my luggage so that I could wander around Verona for a few hours before my train without a suitcase. The rooms are done to a high spec and the breakfast is very good.
