Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt is located between a busy street and the train, so there is some noise - but mostly the rooms are set back and secluded in a courtyard. We were here in March and my room was cold - there is a heater/air conditioner, but all the hot air went rose upward in the tall room. I did find the extra coverlet.
As one reviewer wrote - it is a "quirky" place. Not a hotel, not quite a B&B or guest house. But we enjoyed our stay of three nights The location is close to the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance and the train. was the main appeal, and the price was good. The rooms are affiliated in some way with the 24-hr bar and pastry shop Magma, and they open off a big courtyard. The room was spacious, clean, and secure. The people were all friendly (though I never figured out who was in charge). Breakfast was (very good) coffee and choice of pastry at the bar. Prices were low and quality high - so I oped for more pastries. In my room I could hear the train regularly the first night - but then was used to it. We found good restaurants near by ("Gare" and especially - at about a 15 minute walk - "I Matti"). This is not for the picky, romantic, luxury-liking traveler, but just fine for those looking for a good price and location.

United StatesThere should be better instruction on finding the facility and checking in. A sign at the front door would be helpful.

United KingdomOne flat pillow per person. No headboards upstairs, so what pillows you have… you lose.
The staff (Carmen) was super nice and accommodating. Let us store our luggage after we checked out, and helped us with transportation and food. Really were top-notch service. So close to the archaeological site and the associated train station. Easy walk, and plenty of food options around the corner. Great base for exploring the ruins.

United KingdomCommunication could be improved. For example, we got instructions for check-in only when I reached the location. We were trying to communicate with the bakery below and they don't understand or speak English and we don't understand or speak Italian. It could have been avoided, had the instructions were send well in advance. Breakfast was just 1 Croissant and a drink, which in my opinion is not enough for a filling breakfast. Everywhere else I stayed, breakfast was 2 Croissants or 1 Panini/ Sandwich and a drink. We had to pay extra for a filling breakfast. Again, these details were not instructed well in advance. Parking is not private, but road side parking, which if you are lucky you will find a spot. Thankfully, another car pulled out and we got a spot directly Infront to park. Although the host was very friendly and understanding, the above could be improved for a great review.
The room was perfect for the family. Well thought after and planned. Although there were bin liners missing, overall it was clean. Also received a card, which is a personal touch. Excellent location, very close to the entrance of Pompeii ruins.

Breakfast was great! Location is convenient for exploring Pompeii ruins. Parking was ok since right in front on the street.

United StatesThe “included”breakfast didn’t have many choices. If you want more interesting pastries or other breakfast food, don’t choose the “breakfast included” option and buy what you want from the restaurant next door.
The host, Carmen, is charming and treated us to extra cappuccinos on the day of our departure. The property is ery close to two gates to the ruins and to the Pompeii Scavi train station. It is also a nice stroll to Pompei City where there are many restaurant and non-tourists shopping opportunities.

AustraliaClean, neat hotel within 10 minute walk to the Pompeii ruins. When you arrive it isn't very clear that the room is in the rear courtyard of a home behind a restaurant. The young lady running the hotel was very lovely - but the owners of the cafe next door (who seem to be associated with the hotel as well) weren't as nice and we noticed we were treated not as well as the local Italians who also came to dine there. A bit disappointing really.

AustraliaWe appreciated the breakfast provided but would have enjoyed it more with fewer smoking patrons and a quieter TV.
A very clean and modern room minutes away from the Pompeii Ruins. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. Carmen was there to check us in and allowed us to leave our bags early which was a huge help. Breakfast at the cafe/bar on the property was included.

PortugalFor light sleepers, the proximity of the regional train may be an issue but for me it was no concern at all
A modern, well designed and comfortable room and en-suite toilet/shower room. It was clean and fresh. Their attached cafe is very popular, has great coffee and cakes but outdoor only seating. Only a very short walk to one entrance and an official ticket office for the incredible ancient Pompeii ruins. It proved a great place for my first visit . About 2.5 km from the train station.

Perfect location to visit the Pompei ruins. Lovely modern and clean rooms. Easy to find and central to plenty of places to eat. Carmen is a credit to this place. She was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend a short stay here especially if you want to be within walking distance to the archeological park.
