Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property is on a main road so there was a fair bit of traffic noise, but for the price one can't complain. Could do with a bit more crockery and cutlery, but I already shared that with the owner so hopefully that will be rectified for the next guests.
So close to the ancient city of Pompeii! The fridge and microwave came in very handy. The air con was great on the hotter days. Lovely cleaning lady who visited regularly. Lovely 'cornetto' (like a croissant with a sweet filling) every day for breakfast with delicious Neapolitan coffee.

United StatesAt first it seemed scary looking because of the security in the place and then I learned people walk to the ruins, dinner and explore the city at night.
Easy to communicate using WhatsApp platform.

United KingdomHot water does not work despite saying it takes a few minutes to become hot. Tried for 30 mins and gave up. Parking wasn't private and was street paid parking.
The room was spacious. Instructions were good. Fine for one night.

BelgiumAs it was already a little bit colder in the evening, it could have been helpful to find somewhere an extra blanket. Fortunately I had one with me. There was a little smell of sulfur in the bathroom. I can imagine that this has to do with the volcanic region.
The communication with the owner was very effective, quick and friendly. I was happy that there was a water cooker, that I could make some tea. Situated along a rather busy road, it was very quiet in room number 3 (which is located behind) The breakfast was at a nice cafe nearby and close to one of the entrances of the archeological site of Pompeii.

United KingdomThe walls must be very thin as you can hear people talking all the time. The drain smells after flushing the toilet. The shutter is a bit of a faff. I accidentally rolled it too high and it stuck there. I told the person at the building but nothing happened until I left. As there are two windows on the opposite building that can look into the room very easily so if the shutter is not down, you're constantly watched.
The bed is very comfy. WiFi is very fast and reliable. There's a Nespresso machine. Good shower. It's quite a safe place to stay. No one really speaks English, so polish up your Italian before going.

LatviaThe breakfast was held at coffee bar 300m from the B&B — The owners left us coupons that can be exchanged for a coffee and croissant. If you are enthusiastic about breakfast (like I am) this may disappoint you a little bit.
The B&B is located between the two train stations, and a food store is nearby as well. It was quiet and we couldn’t hear other guests. The room and the. bathroom was clean as well. The AC was working properly and it wasn’t hot although it was +33 degrees Celsius outside. Pompei city center is nearby as well with a lot of restaurants where you can have a delicious pasta or pizza or whatever you please!

ItalyThe place has no parking, we paid 20€ for one night parking in the street, there's no bidet and the shower was broken so we couldn't take a shower and the bathroom walls were full of molds! There wasn't a proper hair dryer in the bathroom ( it was a very small hairdryer literally useless), Our room was named *room napoli* literally beside the main road, so we couldn't sleep during the night since there were so many noises of cars passing by!
The location was good not far from the archeological site of Pompeii
