We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. HungaryThe apartment is really nice, clean, comfortable. A lot of useful equipment is available for the guests to use. There's even an option to keep your luggage after check in. The host is very friendly and professional, he offered his help whenever we needed it. I was thankful for the great welcome drink.

Very kind owner who allowed us to park our car in front of his garage doors. The room/appartment house is quite close to the pedestrian streets of the city centre. It was possible to buy bus tickets from the owner.

IrelandWe were utterly overwhelmed buy our host's kindness and hospitality. Room was very clean, comfy and spacious, and quiet at night. We had a lovely, rather sweet, breakfast with delicious coffee and access to a little fridge, which appeared to be a necessity in the Sardinian heat! There was also a beach set with all equipment necessary for the beach, which was very convenient. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Leo and Lorenzo!

Hungarythe only small thing I can think of the pillows were a tiny bit thick. If I had said anything I am sure Leo would have sorted it out.
Leo was very helpful, he really wants his customers to be happy. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was great, we especially selected this place for the breakfast as it was plentiful and he even prepared savoury option for us. We wanted to return 2 days later but it was fully backed we understand why.

SloveniaWhole place, specially bathroom and kitchen need thourugh cleaning - mold was present in shower cabin! In common area of the appartment smell of cigarettes was very extensive.
The host was very kind and provided all information and advices we needed. He did extra effort to make fresh bread for the breakfast. Parking space was available in private yard.
