Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The walls in the apartment are very thin, so you will definitely hear other people living in the rooms next to yours. Stove, oven and dishwasher didn't work during our stay, so we had to rely on takeaway food. A shower shelf to store your cosmetics would be nice, also we lacked space to hang and dry our towels after use. Would be nice to include a wine opener in the kitchen equipment :) and also a broom/brush for self service cleaning ;)
The rooms were exceptionally clean, there was good internet and good air conditioning in every room, also in the kitchen area. There was a shared refrigerator with plenty of space for each room. Big rooms with spacious bathrooms. Towels were changed after three days, also we were re-equipped with toilet paper and other toilet equipment. There are no robes and slippers though. Good contact with the owner, very nice and friendly staff. There are lockers for the keys outside of the apartment, so you can self check in with no problem. Remember to check the messages from the owner before arrival (they contact you on WhatsApp and Booking)

Modern flat, very clean. Fabio was very responsive. My friend forgot the chargers in the flat and Fabio came to the airport at 8 am to bring them. He even offered to give us a lift to the airport.

The place could have been a little closer to the city center.
There was a common area with kitchen where you could prepare meals. The place is new and very cozy. Wifi worked well. The host was very helpful.

You can NOT ask for a better place. Since we had some problems to find location owners drove to airport and drove us to the location. We found it as an excellent accommodation and grapes from their own garden on the table MNIAM. Owners are extra friendly, and you can give them high 5 . Thank you. Andrew and Hanna

Not a negative, just a note. The style of the twin beds don't allow for converting them into a double bed.
Piovella is located in a lovely spot, with on-street parking readily available. It is one main apartment, with three individual sparkling clean rooms, each with its own newly redone en-suite bedrooms, and a communal kitchen. Communication by the host was incredible, and self check-in was possible with very clear instructions sent before arrival. In the summer heat the aircon was a life-saver. We could walk a short distance to the main road to find shops, eateries and bars. It was a short drive to the historic centre of Cagliari.

Goods for breakfast were typical Italian, sweet and fruit. I would suggest improovment with bread, butter, cheese, sausages.

Not enough plates, cups, and chairs for the breakfast because 2 other guests were there. Apart from this, everything was perfect.
Bed very comfy, new furniture, room amazingly cleaned. Good breakfast, vegan options available upon request. Good price for the value of the accommodation. Check-in staff kind and helpful with suggestions where to go, what to visit and restaurants near by. Highly highly recommended!

Very clean and well-equipped room. Compering to other stays in Sardinia, it has really modern bathroom. Room was really clean. The owners are really nice.

The host doesn't speak English and the locker was broken, so it was really difficult to communicate to get the key. Also, sending instructions on a day when one is travelling is really disappointing because I received it only when I got connected to the internet. Not all tourists are European tourists so you can't count that everyone will have internet upon arrival. You need to pay an extra city tax, which I think host should pay and not ask tourist to leave 1.5 EUR specially when many travel and pay by cards so it was super annoying.
The place is clean and comfy. Very convenient to the airport and has free parking Infront.

Place was generally clean, but there was a used and dirty bath towel in the bathroom from previous guest hanging on the bathroom door. Opening the bed there was hair in the bedsheets. That was definitely a not a nice thing. We slept on the top bedsheet as it seemed cleaner.
Location. Big room and private bathroom. Late check in with good instructions.

Hosts barely talked english. Breakfast was not explained at all and was poor (no bread, butter, ham, cheese or related, only croissants with jams inside). Some fruit was served.
Good public transportation near the house. Hosts seemed nice.
