Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Nothing all good.
Very helpful & friendly host. Easy to find located 10 mins from old town and 30 mins walk to Lecce Football Stadium which was the reason to visit Lecce. Perfect for 2 nights & great value for money and even breakfast provided at nearby cafe.

Everything was just absolutely gorgeous. I felt like home. The room was nice and very very clean, spacious with a very comfortable bed.

Perfect hosts, Sergio and his wife are wonderful people. The location is in great neighborhood,near the old town and the apartments are perfect and very clean. Everything was excellent! We will come again for sure!

The room was very clean, they cleaned it every day we were there. The owner was very friendly and healpful. He suggested very nice places to eat. The neighbourhood was calm, secure and had a great location. We would be happy to stay again here if we were in Lecce!

Friendly and helpful host, gave us great tips for local restaurants and even set up a table for us prior to our arrival. B&B is located in a local neighborhood, within walking distance to the old town.

This place was included in the "free parking" filter, which was almost impossible to find and not close by. Had to pay for parking which happened at almost every location that had "free parking" in the description through booking.com
The location was great. The little bakery you get the voucher for was only pastries but still very good.

Good communication with the friendly owner who understood my limited Italian 👌. He even offered me a coffee when I arrived. Spacious, quiet, and comfortable room and a voucher for a pastry and coffee breakfast in nearby café. It's located not far from the historic centre but in a residential area that gives you access to non-touristy shopping and food and drink options.

Very nice place to stay in lecce, everything was perfect, the owner very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet and it's close to the center.

Could be a little closer to centre but that's ok. The apartment stair entrance is dark but I think that is normal for most italian apartments.
Spacious room. Has the essentials. It is in a quiet neighbourhood. The host was super kind and had offered pick up and drop off at train station. He did not speak English but we communicated well with Google translate - part of traveling in Southern Italy. Don't expect much from the complimentary breakfast.

The host is very friendly and welcoming. He greeted us with some treats. The rooms are cleaned every day and towels replaced. We were offered everyday a cold bottle of water, which was very kind. Breakfast is in very good café.

Just a minor detail. The breakfast is included which was lovely. However, it’s on a bakery near the B&B, in which the employees are super rude and do not accommodate people’s requests. You can have a croissant and a cappuccino and that’s it. You ask for some ham or cheese on the croissant and it’s not possible or you ask for some other drink and you cannot have it. It’s not the B&Bs fault, but this part could surely be improved.
