Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThere was a problem with the toilet but that was not a big issue.
The room was very nice and comfortable. The owner was available by phone and Whatsapp, and checked several times if everything was okay. The location is excellent right next to ancient Pompeii.

United KingdomThis place couldn't be more perfect. Metres away from Pompeii excavations, town centre, and copious eateries, as well as clean and cosy. Room had a glorious jacuzzi and a fridge, a balcony, and a bed so comfortable I never heard the alarm! Gracious host provided wonderful directions by video for self check-in and was very kind about a slightly late checkout due my alarm! 11/10 - would stay again!!

United Arab EmiratesIt is something that does not have to do with the hotel itself but the neighbors were a bit loud until 10-11 PM but after that things were fine.
I had a wonderful short stay at B&B Civico 8. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, offering a free upgrade and leaving thoughtful snacks for me and my friends. I especially appreciated their understanding when I forgot to return the room key on time—they waited for me to drop it off without any extra charges, which showed their genuine hospitality. Thank you so much, and I hope to stay here again in the future!

United KingdomThe noisy bar downstairs... However after several limoncello spritz you don't notice it! ;)
Easy to check in. The host left chest instructions and was communicative. She also gave me a free upgrade and the room was large and had a very comfy bed. The town of Pompeii, away from the ruins is a really lovely town, very reasonably places to eat, friendly locals, has a really nice feel to it.

IcelandShort to downtown and few steps from the enterance Piazza Anfiteatro into Pompeii ruins - not so crowded on that side. We were so happy to be able to enter the bedroom earlier as we came with early morning flight. It was also possible to leave the luggage next day until we came back from a tour in the ruins as we left to Rome in the afternoon.

United KingdomThe tap water was cloudy, not sure if drinkable.
Perfect for a night stay and coming from and back to Napoli via Central Station, less than 10 mins walk and close to ruins, less than 5 mins. There are lots of people trying to get you to buy tickets in the shop and sell you other sights when walking to the Entrance. We have no problem buying ticket on site, no queue in March. Lots of restaurant nearby. Owner was very responsive. Didn’t have breakfast but he left croissant and baked bread for us. A bottle of Water and 2 orange juice cartons. He also allowed us to leave our bags while we visited the ruins, which was very kind of him. We agreed a time to pick them up.For all ladies, please wear comfortable shoes as Pompei ruins is a huge site and took us all day to walk around. Not that easy to negotiate the large uneven road stones. Only one shop selling food in the compound , once out , no reentry allow. So bring some food with you if you need to.

United KingdomThis place was really good value for money, very comfortable, spacious room with a little balcony. We didn't spend much time there as we used it as our base to explore Pompeii, for which it is perfectly located from the station as well as from the town (which is very charming and full of fun local things to do once the tours leave for the day). They even stored our bags for most of the day which was so appreciated!

SingaporeThe coffee machine was free for use in the room yet was obviously old, dirty and badly maintained. Bed was on the hard side which we were not used to.
Apartment was spacious and the aircon worked well in the hot summer.

CroatiaI dont know why in Italy and some other countries there are ono bed sheets for quilt, and blanket was obviously used and not washed before. I saw this practice numerous times. It cost almost nothing to wash it, but not doing so makes sleeping unpleasant. Other than that, everything was acceptable.
Location is perfect, only 2 minutes from Pompeii.
