Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTo get a key we needed to call and wait. It wasn’t long just a fact.
When I was looking for a room, a destination was the most important and this flat’s located in pedestrian areas for many famous areas.

GreeceThe only problem was that Google maps had difficult time getting us there since the surrounding roads were very narrow or pedestrial. The room is in the limited traffic zone of Palermo ZTL and you need to pay a fare of 5 euro to enter. You need to download an app (Palermobillita).
Location was perfect quiet but near the center where all bars Cafe and restaurants are. The room was renovated very clean and the staff was polite and friendly.

LatviaYes, you can hear the neighbours pretty good, but that didn't bother me. The only thing I didn't like is that I wasn't told before the stay that the batroom is going to be in different room. It was private and only I could use it, but I had to go outside my bedroom everytime if I wanted to go to the toilet. And also stuff didn't know English and couldn't help that much.
I like the location. It is just right in the city centre. The money I paid was also worth it.

United KingdomAs it is very central, driving to the property can be “interesting”. The road etiquette is very different. We found a parking spot directly outside but I don’t feel this is usual.
Fantastic location, very central for site seeing and food and drink. Good facilities, and secure. If you have not been to Italy before, it is very typical and well appointed.

United KingdomIf I can suggest to slightly improve communication in terms of directions and getting inside the property that would be great. The owner is very polite, helpful and patient. My only thing is that you wouldn't not expect a huge, wooden, church-like gate as an entrance to the B&B ;).
Really nice, clean, friendly, as described.

FinlandThe toilet and shower were really noisy! You could also hear when the guests from next door used their toilet or shower. Take earplugs with you if you want to sleep in peace! Otherwise the place was rather quiet (no crazy noise from the streets). It would have been nice if there had been cutleries in the kitchen.
There was an espresso machine (capsules). The location was great! The little balcony was very nice (no table or chairs though). There was a fridge in the common area but no kitchen equipments (plates, glasses etc). The internet connection was good. The staff replied to messages rather quickly.

BelarusIt's practically the center of the city and for the stunning location you have to pay with the street noise. Maybe it's just my case, but the bed was waaay soft, my europian back prefers a firmer one. So you must keep in mind these points if you want to sleep sweetly. And you definitely need to be ready that no one will speak or understand in English.
The place is really very well located. All the main attractions, central streets and placess to eat are within walking distance. The train/bus station is 15min away which is important too. Daily room cleaning on request. It's suits for a large stay about 2 weeks like in my case.

United StatesOnly concern was the sound of the pipes was quite loud. I was able to sleep through it but if you are a light sleeper it might be an annoyance.
Very cute with comfortable beds. A good size shower by european standards. Walking distance away from everything but still far enough from the main street so it's not too loud at night.

LatviaThe water pump in the bathroom (general to the whole house) is very loud!!! Can't sleep from the noise… The welcome staff did not speak English (only Italian). Did not provide 3 separate beds, although this option is offered and we requested very much.

United KingdomThe room was very small. Not having a table was bad. because I needed to work with my computer. Unfortunately, the employees did not know English, only the manager did. comfortable and clean place. but expensive for its price. There was a night market every evening on the main street 100m ahead. a very crowded street. It's a nice place where people are having fun. By the way, whenever you want to take a shower, a huge noise starts until you finish the shower. it was so annoying.

United StatesThe building that the B&B is in is poorly maintained. As soon as you enter, you are smacked with the smell of dead vermin. It’s in the pipes and the walls. The elevator is extremely old, and seemingly not that safe. Also very small. If you have lots of luggage, it will be a struggle. ROOM: First issue was being placed in the wrong room (room 4) when I checked in with Dario. When this error was discovered, both Angela and Dario refused to be accountable for this mistake and had the audacity to attempt placing blame with me, the paying customer. Bedding was really bad - mattress and pillows are hard as rocks. There were two twin beds pushed together to make a queen, and they kept coming apart. Not a comfortable sleep when you’re constantly falling through the center of the bed. Ultimately I was moved to room 5, which didn’t have many issues outside of the left bedside lamp not working. BATHROOMS: In room 4, the bathroom was a disaster. The toilet seat was broken and the wall behind the toilet looked like it was being demolished. The smell of dead rodents was quite unbearable in the entire room. For room 5, the bathroom is external from the room which meant I had to enter the hallway in front of the shared kitchen to shower etc. Not a very comfortable or practical setup, especially for a woman! Both bathrooms are extremely small with tight spaces to navigate just for the toilet. Lighting isn’t great. CUCINA: the shared kitchen space was completely bare. Only tea bags offered, but no sugar, honey or a tea kettle to boil water. There was no coffee. And only 4 bottles filled with tap water in the fridge. There were no snacks for guests (cookies, cakes, breads etc). SERVICE: Everyone on staff is rude! The host, Angela, is always missing in action. I was only “lucky” to cross her path when she came to the B&B I assume to make sure her friends were settled in the room I was forced to move out of.
The apartment for the B&B itself is very nice, and works great if you’re not staying long. LOCATION: Very central and easy to walk just about anywhere. Dining, light shopping, attractions, and the train station. There’s a school across from the front of the building, but it wasn’t a disturbance. I strongly recommend staying in the Politeama-Libertà area. Had I known prior, I would have immediately opted for an accommodation there.

GermanyAs most people said, the toilets are quite noisy but you get used to it. For me it was more important that they were kept clean every day. On the other hand, sound insulation is generally not good. I visited in October when the B&B was almost empty and the number of tourists isn't that high, so I had no problem sleeping. Light sleepers might want to consider getting some ear plugs 😄
The location is amazing for everyone who likes seeing the city on foot. All the sightseeing highlights are within 15-20 minutes walk. The main pedestrian street is nearby so finding great food and atmosphere is no problem. The room was nicely decorated comfortable size and very very clean. I did not use the shared kitchen but it seemed to have all the necessary things. All in all it was definitely worth the money I paid.
