Beautiful surroundings, kept immaculately clean. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much bother. Lovely continental breakfast with lots of choice. Although it was a quieter area there were some lovely restaurants and bars nearby, and the hotel was only 5 minutes walk from the busier areas.

At first we felt the area was a bit questionable but once evening arrive it really came to life with restaurants and locals

The air conditioning was a bit noisy and seemed to produce a running water sound . There was no bin in the main bedroom.

Breakfast had a good choice and everything was very fresh . The location was excellent in a lovely quarter of the city with excellent bars and restaurants very close but also near to the historic centre. It was peaceful at night despite being close to the action.

It was a unique and wonderful small hotel. We loved the mix of the past and the modern rooms and amenities. The staff were kind and lovely. Wonderful restaurants are close by and the breakfast was excellent. We look forward to coming back.

We chose the smallest room. Comfortable, despite the bed being less spacious than we’re used to. If you’re someone that likes a bit of wiggle room when sleeping, I think the bigger rooms had larger beds.

It is an absolute oasis in the middle of the city. The property itself is quite new and pleasant to look at, the breakfast was lovely, the pool was great, the room and bathroom were very clean, modern but authentic - but the true warmth of the hotel lies in the staff. Professional but kind receptionists and cleaning people that know your room number by heart and help out where needed. The square surrounding the hotel was also quite charming, with kids playing every evening and nice bars and restaurants.

Some rooms on lower level where my friends stayed had insects. But the Staff and the owner himself went out of their way to change the room and also clean and remedy the unavoidable situation in the other room. This hotel has beautiful plants around (unlike many hotels in the area) and insects maybe unavoidable.

Beautiful, historic, peaceful and convenient to walk to all places of interest and close to center of town. The Staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had a wonderful stay

This is the perfect hotel. We have stayed in many hotels but none of them was as good as this. The atmosphere and the tranquility was exceptional. An oasis in Palermo. Highly recomended.

Very minor item - it would be great to have been provided with an extra room key to leave in use while out of the room by the pool - this would keep the electricity on and allow your phone to charge, as well as keep the aircon on so the room is nice and cool once you return.

Hotel is beautifully decorated, staff are super friendly and willing to assist with booking tours etc. Pool is a huge asset, especially with the high temperatures, and the breakfast is super yummy! Location is very central, which makes exploring Palermo very easy.

We had a very warm welcome from the lovely staff at Bastione, and spent a wonderful honeymoon here. Matteo, Giulia and Siriana are super helpful! It's a short walk to the main tourist attractions and there are excellent restaurants close-by.

The location was ideal for sightseeing. We felt a little on edge walking back through side streets etc but just because we're not used to it! The area always had people around so you would feel safe enough.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. They sent us a detailed video of self check in (we arrived late), restaurant reccomendations which would be open late and organised an airport transfer for us- all before we even boarded our plane over! They also secured a great table at a fantastic, romamtic restaurant for a special occasion. Breakfast was fantastic, and fresh gluten free baked goods were given each morning to cater for my dietary requirements - which were unlike anything I've ever experienced, just amazing! We loved the pool facility, and the security of the hotel. It really does feel like an oasis on those hot days.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of my stay. Couldn't fault the staff or services. Breakfast was lovely but pricey.

The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. They recommended wonderful restaurants and organised great excursions. The rooms were clean, spacious and had great air con. The location was great, we were able to walk to all of the sights we wanted to see.

What a fantastic find! It offers the perfect retreat within Palermo - hidden behind high walls and super peaceful yet a stone’s throw away from everything. Easy parking right outside - we didn’t need our car again for the 5 nights we stayed there as every thing was walkable and we felt very safe doing so. The pool was super and the rooms cleverly designed. I’d suggest it’s more of a couples place than a family place as the pool was more for lounging in than jumping in. Breakfast was good too. Would not hesitate to recommend!

The Hotel was in a great location with an excellent Pizzeria across the square. The staff went above and beyond and sorted excellent restaurant recommendations, they even ensured a good table for my proposal. The pool area is very chill and just what you need after exploring Palermo with some drinks and snacks. The room and En Suite were spacious, modern and clean. Overall the stay exceeded all expectations and I couldn't recommend it enough.
