Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicUpon entering the shower, we discovered that the shower was missing a door; a key component when considering the size of the shower and the clogged drain. Furthermore, two consecutive mornings we were unpleasantly surprised to find that a very eager cleaner was attempting to enter our room whilst we were asleep. During one of these instances, he had even managed to push out the key we kept inside the lock for safety (clearly the key he had overpowered ours) and entered, discovering us in our sleep attire. Contacting the owner was not an option as we had tried to call and message him on multiple platforms regarding an issue with the TV the day of our arrival, we still do not know how to work the TV.
The place was great. The room was comfortable and the AC kept it very nice and cool. The location, though not fully in the center, was very accessible and even had a nice park nearby.

FranceNot many plug sockets in the room worked and the shower door was broken. But the shower worked fine and we unplugged a lamp for an extra plug socket.
Location was good, very easy walking distance to the Termini train station and has lots of nice restaurants nearby. Mattheo was helpful and checking in and out was super easy. We used it as a base purely to sleep and shower and for that it was fine. It was good to find an affordably priced place with a private bathroom in Rome.

United KingdomOur aircon was old and faulty and by the end of our stay it was dripping.
Our room was the perfect size for 3 nights in Rome and the cleanliness was up to a good standard. The location was great as we were close to the train station so was able to move around in Rome easily.

ItalyThe staff wasn't available. TV didn't work. Apart from the first day that owner sent me the information about how to pay city tax and how to check-in, they didnt respond anymore. If you dont write to them between 14 to 20, you wont get any response which is not acceptable at all. Most people travelling, from 14:00 to 20:00 will be out of room. I contacted, once at 21:00 and another day at 22:00. I expected a response the day after when they say they are working, which was the least expectation. Also when i wanted to leave, i sent a message to inform, but no response to non of them. In those messages, once i asked i dont want the room service(cleaning)when i am not in room, it was ignored. I wanted to use my sheets and pillow covers for the bed, which i brought from my home, which was clearly different from theirs, by color and design, and i lost it. When i contacted the owner for getting information or a payment for the loss, still no response.
Unlike previous people's experience, we didn't have problems with check-in or water. Check-in was easy, the water was hot.

CyprusEven though the responses were quick they came with inaction. Ex. We asked for an extra pillow the first day we arrived, and never came. The bathroom door was broken. You could swim in the toilet if you wished for.
Comfortable bed of the property. Quick Response of the Messages from the owner.

LithuaniaIn December, it was really cold in the room, the air conditioner did not heat. The TV did not work, although it turned on, but it was not possible to tune in to any channels because the set-top box did not work. Although there was a teapot in the room, there were no dishes, not even a cup, and no information about bringing your own.
It was a great location, everything was within reach. Easy check-in, we have no problem with that. The room was tidy. Good value for the price.

AustraliaCheck in was made more difficult than it needed to be. Had to download what’s app to get the instructions and then it still didn’t mention what floor it was on. Otherwise no issues.
Good location and very secure. Only 15-20 min walk from colosseum. 5-10 min walk to main train station (Roma termini). Reasonably spacious room with comfortable bed.

AustriaAfter the first contact, the host didn't answer me anymore. In our room we found a broken hair dryer, I sent a picture to the host and I got no answers. Also, in the bathroom, the drains were clogged and the ceiling had mold.
The location is good, it is very close to the train station, and metro and just 20 minute walk to Colosseum. They clean the room every day and the online check-in was straightforward. It is also quiet and warm.

Indiacleanliness is horrible, water from showers doesn't drain soon, water from bidet come outside on the floor. There are so many reviews about this, still no action is taken by property this shows their ignorance. Also, some other used garbage was put in our room dustbin which had used pads and condoms and all. It's bad!
