    • One-Bedroom Apartment with View
    • Stayed 4 nights

The only downside was that the apartment wasn’t cleaned during our 4-night stay. I’m not sure if cleaning was included in the hotel’s services or if I should have requested it.

I loved the views from the hotel, nestled in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The heating worked continuously, making the space warm and cozy. Parking was conveniently located just 20 meters from our apartment.

    Nothing to dislike.

Everything was as described, nicely furnished, spacious rooms, antique atmosphere. in short, wonderful. Previous customers who wrote that the roads are narrow and difficult to access... well, all the roads in Tuscany are like that. If you have a problem with this, then it is best not to go to Tuscany at all. I highly recommend this location as it is very close to Florence and is a very nice starting point for all the other places to visit. The sound insulation could perhaps be better, but what can one expect from an old building...so that, too, was not disturbing.

It was raining when we stayed and we would have liked a covert area outside.

We stayed for 3 nights in October, we were a group of 4 people and it was very comfortable for us, each room had its own full bathroom and a very cozy dining room, fully equipped kitchen. The views of Tuscan hills are amazing from the property. We saw some dears walking around the property😍You need a car to get there, the nearest village is about 25 min walk.

Make a real breakfast. Serve in the common area for all guests.

The breakfast was lacking. It consisted of some package toast and jam. Should not be called breakfast.

Although there was aircon, it didn't get very cold, and we needed the fan supplied to keep it cool enough at night.

Authentic farm house feel. Great facilities, incl. Washing machines, clothes lines, swimming pool was lovely, and a 15 - 20 min drive to Florence ( as close as you can park being outside the ZTL restricted zone). Use the Waze app to show where the ZTL zones are. Thanks, Luigi and the lovely staff.

There is nothing not to like, except the mosquitos, so bring a repellant - but that’s a small price to pay for somewhere so wonderful.

It’s beautiful, the scenery is stunning, the Borgo itself is like a fairytale location. It’s peaceful and very secluded. The apartment was traditional and that’s what we wanted. Comfortable and clean. Having your own outside space was wonderful to have a glass of wine in the evening looking at the exceptional views over Tuscany. we were treated like friends by the owner Luigi but also left to ourselves to enjoy our own space.

    Nothing

We liked everything there. The place was more than amazing. The house was more than enough for us. We were 5 people. All the facilities are available in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. The washing room is outside the house, and it is available for everyone. There are many areas to park your car, which is recommended if you are planning to stay there, the nearest supermarket is about 20 min. Walk. About 5 min. In the car. There is a playground and a lot of walking areas. We visited in January so the weather and the view were amazing.

    Mosquitoes!

Nestled in the hills of Grassina, Borgo Bottaia offers a rustic haven. The tri-level apartment was spacious, adorned with Tuscan charm, and provided all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff is courteous and hospitable. Luigi, our host was very helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The highlight of Borgo Bottaia is the stunning grounds surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The outdoor spaces, complemented by a refreshing swimming pool, offered a perfect respite to soak in the serenity of the Tuscan hills. However, because the property is nestled in the hills, finding it after sunset can be challenging. The roads are narrow and winding with limited signage, so I would recommend future travelers plan their arrival during daylight hours to fully appreciate the journey. A minor setback during our stay was the prevalence of mosquitoes, so come prepared with effective repellents to fully enjoy the outdoor/indoor spaces. Overall, our stay at Borgo Bottaia was made memorable by the serene and tranquil surroundings in the picturesque Tuscan countryside.

A little far from everything if you don’t have a car rental. A bus does go by down the road though. We just didn’t try to navigate it. Also You will need mosquito repellent. But that is just Tuscany. I wish I had known ahead of time so I could have prepared. This property will give me great memories for a long time.

internet was next to nothing, it would disconnect every minute or so- i.e. useless. Fortunately the mobile internet coverage was good. On the first night of our stay immediately underneath our room there was a corporate party of a kind with loud music and group singing until 3 am...I would suggest checking about such events prior to booking....

    Very historical place, beautiful surroundings

The wifi did not work in the first house we stayed in - but it was working during our second week when we had booked another apartment.

The most beautiful Borgo on a hill with amazing views of the countryside, very close to Grassia town and very quiet. All the buildings are old, made of stone and very charming. There is a beautiful outdoor pool, also with lovely views. The facilities were fine, not luxurious, but we had everything we needed. There are outdoor seating areas outside every property, where you can eat breakfast, dinner etc and enjoy the view and peace and quiet. The staff were very helpful and charming. A 15-20 minute walk down the hill takes you to the small town of Grassia, where there are some restaurants etc. You can take the bus from the town centre to the centre of Florence (takes around 30 minutes), which we found much easier than driving into the centre.
