Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Located in an industrial area, if looking to walk to a restaurant, store or anything- it’s not there. Great place for just a sleep/stopover for airport. Clean and spacious, friendly and kind staff. Quick 10 min, 30 euro Uber to the airport.

The size of the room is in the smaller size
The hosts were super nice, and it was spotlessly clean, and a very comfy bed. It was just on the edge of town so very quiet but within walking distance to everything. A very nice balcony.

The bed was not very comfortable, quite soft and squidgy. There were some ants in the room that invaded the desk when we left some bread on it.
I loved the location and the cleanliness of the place and the feeling of safety as there is a big gate, the staff was lovely.

It was very loud in the corridor or breakfast room from before 6 a.m so we couldnt sleep. Cleaning begun also very in the morning, noise and rush were very unpleasant. Although location is a plus in terms of early flight, it isnt good neighbourhood. Getting to the city center was hard without a car. Bus didnt come, finally we got a ride and the driver warned us against walking after dark there. No supermarket nearby
Distance from the airport is a plus, also possibility of checkin/out early in the morning or night. That made me choose this hotel. Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom.

Coffee machine on our floor was broken.
The nicest hotel we could find for an overnight near the airport. Helpful staff, responsive to transfer requests and very clean. Good for an overnight stop-off.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was due to its proximity to the Catania airport as we were arriving in at night and didn't want to travel far. That was great. However, we still needed to find dinner. We drove into Catania, but didn't have a lot of luck with traffic and where we ended up. Nothing was really nearby the hotel, so perhaps more specific recommendations in town and for directions/parking would have been really helpful.
They staff were excellent and very accommodating. The room was quite large and comfortable. It was very handy to have a nice breakfast included, and I personally appreciated the availability of alternative offerings for my dietary needs. It also felt very safe and comfortable within the private gate of the complex.

We had an early flight from Catania to Rome so this hotel was an excellent option as it is 5 minutes away from the airport and has parking facilities inside the premises. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good.

Most hotels we've worked with up to this point to coordinate transfer have been genuinely trying to help. While this property offers shuttle services, it was way overpriced versus just getting a taxi easily found when you leave the airport. When we asked them for their recommendation on transfer, they simply asked if we'd like to arrange a shuttle with them directly. Normally that would be a better deal, but it was 25 Euros for a 6 minute ride. Taxis were charging 20 Euros to get to Catania downtown. I could've done my own research, but still didn't leave me feeling great about the staff.
It was close to the airport, exactly what we were looking for. It was cheap with a decent bed which was important for us since we weren't staying long and only sleeping one night to transfer.
