Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWhy location was a 10-15 mins walk to the centre, it was alongside a busy road with a relatively narrow pedestrian path, so appropriate care is necessary when walking. Another small downside in terms of the location is that there are neither restaurants nor grocery shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
The view from the room over the entire gulf, and directly above Marina Grande was superb. Also, the view from the breakfast room on the highest floor offered more great photo opportunities. The staff was nice and always ready to assist. We got a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. They also accommodated us with a slightly later checkout at no cost. The breakfast was of a good standard for this type of a hotel. The location was around 10-15 mins walk to the centre. The cleanliness of the room was at an acceptable level.

The view from our suite was phenomenal! Exactly what an Italian postcard would look like from every vantage point. The restaurants on site served some of our favorite meals, especially the pizza and soup! Loved the ping pong table, pool, outdoor lounge areas and bars; so many places on the property to explore and enjoy. Hot tub and outdoor living area off the suite was perfect.

MaltaThe view was great, very picturesque. Breakfasts were good and the room very clean and extremely quiet. Going from the front reception to the room was a bit rambling but in its way this is also a special characteristic of the hotel.

HungaryParking and stopping in front of the hotel are very difficult, and the charge is 20 EUR / day. The city center is a bit far from the hotel (but the view is worth the distance). Breakfast is a bit boring and could be more varied (they are not serving prosecco or wine in the morning - hey! It's Italy ;) Bed was so uncomfortable and soft.
The view from our room's balcony was stunning (it has a view of the whole Sorrento and Vezuv). We've got a bigger category room than we paid for, so our room was huge and had a big balcony (with a sofa, a table with two chairs and two sun beds). The hotel has a great and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant's view is also amazing, so every breakfast was a wonderful experience! The staff is charming and helpful! There are so many floors, but there are also a lot of elevators. In the summertime, they have a pool on the top of the hotel. The mini bar was full of reasonably priced soft drinks, beers, and proseccos.

United KingdomThat the hotel did not offer a free shuttle esp with luggage it's a difficult walk and 20+E for a 10 mins car journey is ludicrous! The pool bar was closed but that's possibly because it's the end of the season.
The lovely breakfast on the balcony put together by the hotel.for my husband's 60th birthday.was a real treat. Our room and all seem to have a unique quirky style. The best views in Sorrento. The service and extra mile the staff went too Smiley staff, attentive (not on their phones which is the norm these days!) The authentic Italian style of the hotel..which was modernised whilst still keeping its charm and wonderful features. The massage was first class and the wellness room. We will be back .....

United KingdomThe room was very cold and there was no way for us, as guests, to control the temperature. We often opened the balcony door to warm up the room. The evening meals were not to our tastes and we felt they were expensive for what they were. There were inadequate places to dry wet swimsuits and towels, considering there was a hot tub on the balcony. We struggled to find places to dry these. The final lift up to the 9th floor was iffy, the light occasionally went out and the lift would not move. This happened enough to make us unsure if it would work when we got in.
The view was stunning, we could see the bay of Naples, Sorrento and Vesuvius from our balcony and our private hot tub. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful and any special requests were met promptly and with a smile. The packed lunches provided were huge, sufficient for at least 3 meals! There was good provisions for gluten free eaters, with choices. Shower was hot and had good pressure. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets to use when we needed them.

Our rooms had the most incredible views from our private balcony, absolutely breathtaking. The hotel was clean, filled with art and the staff was professional and accommodating, the restaurant food was great and every morning they served us with a delicious breakfast over-looking the most amazing views. Our floor also had an incredible olympic sized swimming pool and gorgeous lounge areas throughout the hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Bristol.

Nicely appointed Junior suite with plenty of space and light. The view of Vesuvius and Sorrento from our balcony, the restaurant (And yes, there is technically only one restaurant) outdoor pool and lounge was breathtaking. Breakfast was a buffet of a wide variety of healthy and sweet pastries, Coffees, And omelettes or fried eggs on order. Most of it was delicious. The dinner cuisine was not the best I’ve ever had and the buffet salad comes up really short for an Italian salad. However, their eggplant parmesan was the best I’ve ever had. The hotel is located just up a hill on the edge of town, and the bus stop is just out the door, so it’s away from the maddening crowd, but with convenient transportation. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, Providing us all sorts of useful information. The only recommendation of the staff that I would not agree with would be to take the boat they arrange to Positano and Amalfi for €60. It was uncomfortable and loud. Check into the ferry and bus options first.
