We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

FinlandChecking in late I had to take the airport shuttle to the property and walking from the shuttle was not comfortable: dark streets with bad pavement. The automatic light at the key box kept turning off and it was hard to get my code in. There were 4 different keys to work with and it took me a long time to establish which key goes to which door. Felt uncomfortable in the night, outside of a locked gate, in the darkness, figuring out which key to use.
The host contacted me ahead of time and explained how to get to the property and how to get my key. The room was clean. Cute kitchen with a coffee machine and self-serve breakfast.

SwitzerlandStaff gave us almost a heart attack, when we got there, they didn't answer our door bell, nor the phone linked to booking.com - after multiple rings, despite us giving them an early enough heads up of our arrival time. we, a family with 2 small children, were left puzzled at the gate - in the middle of nowhere, in the night (almost 10pm) - with honest thoughts of looking for alternative locations, and asking booking.com for reimbursement. Never had such a bad experience with booking.com bookings. in the end after 15 minutes, I wrote her a message on booking, and she finally decided to send me instructions on how to enter - she could have done that days in advance - things she didn't forget to ask in advance when do we leave her house . The staff never apologized for her treatment :( Breakfast: beautiful table decoration, but the provided food was below average quality of what others offer. *Free shuttle: sounds great in theory, but given that it's once in 20 minutes (it's public shuttle), without a fixed time, one has to always account for an extra 30 minutes buffer from this hotel. Had better experience at other hotels nearby that also offered shuttles, but more predictable time, and by far a much better service than here. Being so close to the airport - one can easily get scared by airplane noises at night (bad sound insulation) Overall: book something 1 station away from the airport - same door 2 door time, much better experience overall.

United KingdomBasically my accomodation was first floor Apartment with 2 en-suite Bedrooms named "Aerial" and "Jasmine". Thus you share the intimate Dining/Social area in the Apartment with a complete stranger that can be disconcerting. More acceptable if Management were present on premises from a security aspect.
minimal Breakfast limited selection. Location end of gravel roadway with neighbour''s Dog barkng. Cheap and reasonably cheerful accomodation. Semi rural location but no Management on premises. All "do-it-yourself". Communication with Management via WhatsApp !!

IsraelThe 5 minute walk from the shuttle is long if you have luggage. Good directions at the gate to gain entry. But I didn't see walking directions so had to flag down cars until one stopped. Even then, it's not easy to find. This can be corrected by providing detailed directions. Two of the apartments are one flight with no elevator so it's fine if you don't have heavy luggage and aren't too old. The host was friendly enough but didn't answer several phone calls so I was in the dark trying to locate the place. Also there for no instructions posted about connecting to the internet. The host said they were at the lockbox but I did not see them. It's a great place structurally, quiet in a rural area and would be great with some tweaking of the communication.

LithuaniaWe were arriving on the midnight and the owner was informed about that in advance. Knowing we were arriving so late, she promised to send us self check-in information. She arranged the shuttle from the airport to the apartment, BUT.... she never provided us self check-in information (despite the fact she promised to do so). So we arrived NEAR the property around 00:30 A.M. and stayed there (I mean outside the house in the middle of the night) for 1 hour, because owner (Alessia) did not provide self check-in details - code from the locker where keys of the apartment were kept. There were 3 key lockers for different apartments, but we were never informed about the name of the apartment. So we tried to open each of them, but they were all locked. Despite our several messages via WhatsApp and phone calls the hostess never responded to them. Then we called the same taxi driver and asked him to give us a ride to the nearest hotel, because we could not get into apartment. The taxi driver arrived and offered to check code for the keys' locker once again. He explained that the owner changes the code once in a while (as we understood, the driver was familiar with this property). So he entered 2**2 and voilà, we have the keys!!! Lotfi (the taxi driver) followed us to the apartment to make sure we finally move in. Owner of the apartment woke up (just my guess) right after we moved in (1:30 A.M.) and once reminded she never provided self check-in information she immediately sent a very detailed information with the code from the key locker (why to send the code if you keep the locker unlocked?!). As I understood, it was a template message which had to be sent before our arrival. She also wrote us the key locker was not locked, which was not true, because we tried to unlock each of the locker once arrived. The only thing traveller cares about is to reach the property and to sleep well. Would I come back again? No.

United KingdomFirst impressions are that the house is very isolated, however, if big airport hotels aren’t for you it is perfect. The kitchen area is shared with whoever is in the room next door, which wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some.
This house is very unique with extra touches which made the stressful situation of our flight home having been cancelled less stressful. The house was extremely clean and tastefully decorated. if you need to leave early to catch an early flight you will not miss out on your first meal of the day as all breakfast essentials are provided, ready to be consumed at any time. In the house there is an option to purchase ingredients, which are already there, if you wish to utilise your culinary skills. Alternatively there is a restaurant within walking distance which has a take away option and 2 hotels, also within walking distance, where you can dine, with 1 been able to meet the needs of an extremely fussy 4 year old. The balcony is perfect for soaking up the rays with a glass of vino, whilst listening to the tweeting of birds and watching the local aviation. There is a free transfer to the airport, within walking distance from the house or alternatively a very friendly taxi service.
