The beds were not comfortable.one side is up,the other down so we could fall off the bed.The room had a bad smell.It had so many corridors opening to the next one so we had difficulty in finding our room.We didn't like it.

Bed was very hard, I couldn’t sleep at all. Management doesn’t want AC to be set lower than 24 degrees and it’s very hot in the room.

The place and room did not live up to our expectations as we saw the pictures on the website. As soon as we got in we were met by a strong smell of chlorine - not healthy at all. We were not allowed to use the air condition below 24 degrees, but the air condition did not work very well when turned up to 24. The bathroom was sleazy and musty, if we did not keep the lights turned on, there was no air circulation in there, and there were small flies all the time. Towels were not changed during our 3 nights stay. We got a message that we would have to pay for towel changing AFTER we had booked our stay!

it was nothing like showed in the photos. the rooms were more like dormitory rooms with ac cooling not going below 24 deg C. also it was mentioned that we dont switch the ac below this temp. also the beddings were not clean and the room was full of mosquitoes.

The room (twin room) was not as it was presented on Booking. Not at all. The bathroom was not having shower box, but just an old shower curtain. They provided only 2 single dose shower gel and 2 small soaps for 2 persons (the room was booked for 2 nights). The walls of the room were dirty, with mold and spider net (who knows when was last time they painted…). The beds were small, not so comfortable. I found also a bug in the bed (daily clean up was not done during my staying). I was mentioning all this to the responsible of the guest house but she was saying that priority to the rooms that are upgraded is provided to the customers that are booking directly with them. Which is not fair at all, as they are publishing on Booking and their website only photos with the upgraded room.

we only found out the aircon was not working after we have checked in and realised that it could not be turned on. Call the reception and then we were told the aircon was down. Firstly we weren't informed beforehand and not even given an option to change/upgrade to another room. All we gotten was €30 refund for 3 nights and a fan. Quite itchy after sleeping and after 3 nights we had numerous bites here and there. Will not recommend going back there.

Well .. Didn’t expect too much but me and my friend were bitten by bugs! Not mosquitoes but probably something else as all our bodies are covered with big red dots- super ichy and painful same time. Disgusting :/ Also aircon didnt work properly,neither shower. I would not come back there.

the air conditioner didn’t work and there was a heatwave in Italy there was a private courtyard outside window which made it hard to sleep as the noise at night travelled through open window. I got a number of mosquito bites as I had to sleep without bed linen because the air conditioner didn’t work

I have no idea what good reviews are based on, either they aren't verified, or people's standards really have dropped to new lows post-pandemic. Do you even  Know the definition of a guest house? Keyword: house. This is not a house. There is no home owner that welcomes you to stay with them in a private room -Ive done guest houses all over Tuscany. What they offer though ( Aside from a rude receptionist that shows you she's frustrated with your questions and makes sure to make you feel stupid for what you ask, oh and also reminds you to pay "now" when, 5 minutes earlier, you're the one who told her "I want to pay now" and not at the end of the stay. Did you think I was leaving without paying?) So what they offer is the illusion of a garden (non existent for access, only luring you by pictures -if the garden is private, don't advertise it as part of the place for people who expect to have access to it). What they also offer are orphanage-dorm-like rooms (street + construction view) that have 2 beds and a bathroom. Less than basic necessities.. I am 1m60 and barely 50 Kgs and I barely fit in the bed and almost fell more than once at night. Goodluck if you're a tiny bit taller/bigger. The noise, hitting of doors, moving furnitures upstairs (??!!) was unbearable. What you get in an ACTUAL guest house is a kettle in the room at the least, a common kitchen where you can make a coffee in the  Morning, oh, and a friendly homeowner. Also, maybe any hanging on the wall to brighten up this austere morbid room? It is more than necessary, it is actually primordial, that you stop misleading people by Calling it a guest house when the maximum description of this place is a cheap hostel.

The only good thing about this place is it's location that is very central. So if you're just here to have an (uncomfortable) bed to sleep in, go for it.

Perhaps some cutlery, plates and drinking glasses, however it did not really matter.

Whilst the accommodation was basic, it was exactly as described with great location and excellent value for money. We would definitely choose to stay here again, we loved the unique character of the accommodation. The balcony was also a great place to sit outdoors and relax after a busy day sightseeing before heading back out for dinner!

it was very noisy, especially on the first night as a group of students were staying and they kept slamming the doors and speaking loudly in the corridors

I would prefer a bigger bathroom

I loved the location! I also felt really safe because you had to pass through two locked main doors when the reception was closed. It was quiet and cosy.
