Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

It was student accomodation so no other tourists there and felt like you were out of place in a student space. The cafe was closed when we tried to go for food a few times during the day. The location is poor and we had to get taxi's everywhere at night which was expensive, didn't feel safe to walk there at night at all. The receptionist also had trouble getting us a taxi as none drive in the area at night to hail

- It was a little bit far from the center 25 minutes walk - we had a little problem by check in, we got a room where the toilet wasn't clean but the problem was solved and gave us another room
- parking option for 10 Euro/night - The staff at the reception were nice

This is a Campus, which mean you are staying together with many students. Even it was quite quired and nice to stay with many young people.

We had a room on the entresole and the sounds from the restaurant/dining area could be heard all the time.
The price was fair and the staff was good. It's close to communication spots and within walking distance to the tourists attractions.

Good breakfast, just enough variety. Friendly staff. The bus line 20 is just outside which takes you to the center (NOT to the train station, for that you need to walk 8-10 mins to the tram line).

No coffee/tea making facility in room. Breakfast charges not clear i.e. flat rate irrespective of choice.
Clean. Friendly and very helpful staff. Quiet. Option of paid breakfast. Fridge in room. Able to leave luggage on day of departure.

The location was a bit far away and in order to get to the city centre you had to pass some sketchy areas near the train station, but we didn’t have any issues with anybody.
The breakfast was pretty good and the amenities of the campus were more than enough for a long stay in Firenze

We were unable to cast to the TV in the room, and we didn't have a HDMI cable to connect our computers to it - they said this was an issue they were looking into. The fridge in the room was very small, would have been nice to have had some cutlery etc and a kettle. Would have been nice to be able to buy washing machine powder / tablets from reception as we had some clothes to wash. We'd have had to buy a packet from a supermarket, which would have been much more than we needed, so we didn't bother.
Breakfast was cheap and simple - you could either buy individual items or unlimited for (I think) €10 or €12. It wasn't anything spectacular and there wasn't a huge selection but it was good enough. Location was fine, a little further out from where I'd have liked it to have been but Florence is such a small city it was only ~20 minute walk right into the heart of it. There was a gym, a laundry room, games room and plenty of study rooms - we had to work on the morning of check-out so we did so from a study room until we were ready to depart. We didn't realise when booking that this is a student halls during term time but this wasn't a problem as we stayed during summer and the room was good, bed was nice, and it was all very clean and quiet.

The only problem was transportation to the center of the city.
I strongly recommend Camplus Guest Firenze hotel which is very affordable. Because all staff is kind and they also provided delicious breakfast! We were really satisfied with everything.

- Little bit far from the central places. It takes 30 min approximately by walking. I suggest you to rent an e-bike, it's easy to reach by using it. - They are accepting the payment only in credit card normally. My credit card limit was insufficient to pay, but they helped me about how to pay.
- Kind and helpful staff, - Interesting interior architecture, loved that! - Breakfast was really nice. I didn't reserve when I booked the property, I bought breakfast while I was there, so cool. - Rooms are nice, air-conditioning is so enough, clean, comfortable beds.
