Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaMinor things that did not affect our stay, like the fact that the air conditioning in our room was weak and there were towels on the wardrobe to catch the likage. The bed felt soft. It is a pity that the concierges are all men. The whole of Venice has this peculiarity of only men in the main and most visible professions (gondoliers, boat drivers/vaporetto drivers, gastronomie fronthouse/waitresses, concierges, ecc.).
The concierges were very kind, helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions when I needed them. They gave us a map and some indications about how to move around. We had a room with a balcony, which was very nice, it was cosy. The room and bathroom were clean, there was a minibar with view items and a safe (big enough to put a computer in). I could leave my bags on the last day at the premises in order to explore Venice further, which was very useful.

The location was amazing, right across the Grand Canal from the train station and a five minute walk to taxis and buses. Great breakfast, lots of choices! Friendly staff, very helpful reception. Perfect room temperature on a very hot day!

IrelandNo tea/coffee making facilities, the room was a bit outdated, shower in the bathroom was very low pressure and the water did not get hot. We had to leave our key at the front desk every time we left, which was an annoying but the front desk staff were friendly. The hotel is located 6 mins from train station and 20 mins from Rialto bridge, 30 mins from st marks square.
Friendly staff, comfortable room

Clean room, nicely laid out. Conveniently placed electrical sockets for charging and good toiletries provided as well as clean linen daily. The hotel was quiet, briliantly located in San Croce across the Grand Canal from Santa Lucia central train station and so minimal slugging of luggage around Venice - only one bridge. Also convenient for the bus station two short low bridges) and great access to all parts of Venice - San Marco, San Polo, Durodoso, Carneggio etc and close to the Vaperetti along the Grand Canal. Would stay there again.

BulgariaNice hotel for the price we paid, very friendly and kind staff. The room was very clean and we had everything we need for our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Close to the bus/train/boat station, so we didn't walk a mile to get there, and yet far enough, so no noises and other distractions.

United KingdomThe hotel was slightly tricky to find the first time and did involve going down a few alley ways which my daughter (11) really didn't like even once we were familiar with the route. For some reason my daughter really didn't like the hotel but couldn't put the reasons into words.
The hotel was near the station, the rooms a reasonable size, clean and comfortable, and quiet.

United KingdomFacilities are limited (no bar, no lunch) but there are plenty of places nearby and considering the price and location still great value.
Great location very convenient and great value, staff give the personal touch and are super helpful. If you want simple value, close to most things, comfortable air conditioned, then this could be a good choice. If I was staying longer I would choose more luxury, but would also have to pay much much more. They get it right here, and the staff are great!

CanadaThe lady in charge of the dinning room was rude and not collaborative. Even though we tried to be nice and smiling, she was rude. Brunch was delish though. Plus, please change those old and outdated comforter in the room.
The front desk person was helpful and welcoming.

United StatesElevators were small , the walk to the hotel can be rough if you had a lot of luggage. It was not exactly clear on how to get a hotel porter to push bags for you and the price. Overall rooms were small but that is what I was expecting with the category of hotel selected. I really put a premium on location versus hotel star level.
The rooms were clean and functional, we were on the main island so a bit of a walk from were the cabs/ride share drops you or the taxi boat. The weather was nice so walking to the hotel gave you a bit of a preview of shops, restaurants and overall feel on the area.

AustraliaThe price for the room was expensive - $500aud per night and I was expecting sheer luxury. But I need to bear in mind that it was a hotel in Venice - one of the most visited cities in Europe and prices have increased significantly since COVID. I was also paying for the location.
The location of the hotel was perfect after a long train journey from Lucern. The breakfast was an adequate buffet, and the ladies serving the coffee/tea and clearing the tables were very efficient and helpful

ItalyThe hotel is perfectly located in Venice. The room was ok as well as its bathroom. I would recommend this hotel if the price is not too high (however consider that Venice is very expensive!). Rather, I suggest not having breakfast since there are a lot of "pasticcerie" (one also close to the hotel) that serve the typical (sweet!) Italian breakfast based on croissants and cakes.
