This accommodation cancelled my booking the day before i was due to stay with no explanation of why, I have not received a refund of the money

The payment details and check-in process are different to what is advertised on booking.com. There are no staff present, it is more akin to a 'airbnb' rental. The amenities weren't stocked, no toileteries and only one towel provided for 2 pax, the tv wasn't operational, and the hosts were uncontactable regarding any of the issues, 24hrs later and I am still awaiting a reply.

no soap in the bathroom, only one towel between 2 people, no kettle in room and no response from anyone regarding issues, no name given as contact and only remote check in, after excellent service elsewhere this was very poor, wouldn’t recommend also noisy from traffic outside so soundproofing also poor

Booked us into a dirty room. Hard to reach the person who never arrived. Shower flooded, finally the maid arrived had to borrow tools to clean the massive and amount of hair in the drain. Finally got us in the right room never cleaned it.. The beds were not confortable and sheets did not fit. Lastly it was noisy. So not a good place to stay. The person was not responsive. Never replied back regarding the hair..

There nice chandeliers and location was convent. And that's about it.

The hotel is without a reception. They do not answer the phone nor emails. There is no way to communicate with them.

Everything was perfect: the location, the apartment, the host Camila) There was no breakfast, but in the living room we could have coffee for free and some snacks.

Nothing we would stay again the next time we go to Verona.

Lovely host, very helpful and freindly and gave us lots of ideas for restaurants places to visit etc. The property was lovely with wonderful antiques from her family. The chandeliers were stunning and had been in her family for a 100 years plus being electrified back in the early 1900's . Easy walk to all the sites of Verona including the lovely old streets. We stayed one night and would have happily stayed longer.

Simply wonderful! It is that case when you book accommodation because you liked the photos, but in real life everything is even better. The decoration is beautiful, the location is convenient, the host is super friendly. We just wish we had more days to stay there.

We stayed at Casa Esvael for the second time, so I'm repeating the previous review. The quality of accommodation remains excellent! Antonella is a super host, very kind. He responds quickly to messages, received us with great sympathy and gave us several tips. Casa Esvael has an excellent location, within walking distance of the main tourist attractions (Piazza Bra, Arena Verona, Piazza Erbe, Casa di Giulietta, etc). The room is very clean, well decorated, the air conditioning is quiet. There are several restaurants and places to have breakfast close by.

Everything was superb! I don’t think I have met a more lovely and gracious hostess who more than met expectations to make us feel at home in this lovely and beautifully furnished abode. The location was also superb. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go for sightseeing and to the Opera in the Arena that evening. No reason to hesitate if you are thinking of booking here. The hostess, the location, the bedroom and shared common areas are excellent.

Casa Esvael is an ideal place to stay in Verona. The accommodation is excellent and very central (only a two minute walk from Arena di Verona). Antonella is a wonderful host who gave us a really warm welcome and provided great recommendations of things to do and places to eat in Verona and nearby. I would strongly recommend Casa Esvael when visiting Verona.

The accommodation could not have been better (price performance-technical)! Everything was very clean and general, as seen in the pictures, decorated in an aesthetic Italian style. I (as a girl - underage solo traveler) could not have felt more comfortable and safer not only because of the great location, but especially because of the great and unbelievably helpful and committed hostess! Everything was perfect!

The host was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. She was there to meet us and explained all about the facilities, where to visit and she said just message her if we needed anything. Supplies were replenished when we ran out of things straight away. She booked our taxi for our flight home...She was a brilliant host. Wished we could have stayed longer.
