Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

A toaster would have been nice. and perhaps a slightly larger drying rack. Otherwise, everything was really great!
The location is perfect and walking distance to everything even the train station. My daughter's university was a three-minute walk. Costanza was a fantastic host! She was very responsive to all my questions prior to arrival. She gave us a bottle of wine and told us about the winery. We ended up going there for a tour and it was wonderful! The apartment itself is lovely. It's very small but clean. The bathroom and shower are really nice! Complimentary coffee was great too! I asked for more towels and if they had a microwave and toaster. By the time we returned we had fresh towels and a microwave! Very accommodating!

The host was exceptionally helpful, and the apartment was absolutely stunning in every way. If you are looking for quality then look no further. location to the old center position A. Thankyou Castle Rooms, hopefully we will be back!!

I think if you don’t travel light eg with small cases you might struggle to find space to put your cases.

Nothing. It was great.
Centrally based. A great place to stay if you want to visit Florence without the manic crowds. And Prato has great sites I. It’s owned by right. Appartment was clean and bed very comfortable. Staff so flexible on check in.

in summer in Prato, you might find a lot of social life and, as a consequence, also some noise. It's not really fault of the property, but if it happens, it is better to have earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Very clean; staff is very accomodating in all requests. Location was perfect to reach from station and to downtown Prato. Excellent to have a mini laundry.

Great location, very helpful host, room and amenities very comfortable. Shower is sort of outside - except closed in by glass. Comes right off the bedroom so a tad awkward if staying with a friend (no solid door) (but toilet has a solid door).

De pillows were a bit high.
Very comfortable room, decent internet, nice hosts that communicate very good, close to Prato centre, movies and 3 streamchannels included, excellent!

I can't think of anything. All was perfect.
Cozy and clean room, with everything I needed for my stay. The owners are so friendly and helpful, and were always available if I had any questions. Place in a good location, quiet.

The mattress might be a little Tough going for a stay longer than 3-4 nights. But for us was fine!
The best place I have stayed in Prato. Super central and very quiet. Beautifully clean, well appointed and the host is a delightful person to deal with. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to all my colleagues.

Nothing. It was perfect!!!
Excellent host. The apartment was spotless & had everything we needed for our short stay. It was a 10-15 minute walk from Prato Porta train station. The stay exceeded our expectations. It is an excellent base to visit Florence and Prato itself is worth a day to visit.

One of the two air conditioning units was a bit noisy, but we realised that using the more silent one only was sufficient even in the August heatwave.
The host is really professional and provides a lot of useful information. There are many small details that make a difference and make the flat very welcoming (nice coffee available, the quality of the furniture and objects available, the design, etc.)

Probably the room light is a little bit dark. But it feels like warm.

I did not have any dislikes. The apartment and helpfulness of the host far exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
The ambience, location and quality were great. The kitchen was well equipped with new appliances. The host was very warm and helpful and provided a parking pass for my stay. The apartment was also very secure with deadbolt locks on the main entrance and apartment.
