Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Unfortunately we saw some cockroaches in the room
Perfect location to catch the boat to see the other islands. The host was lovely. Nice breakfast.

Excellent homely accommodation in ideal location. Our 2 lovely lady hosts were always on hand to greet us with a warm welcome. Thankyou. Breakfast was fabulous and plentiful and the whole feel of the B&B couldn’t be faulty. The best of all our stays in Sardinia 😀

CelestediMare was in a perfect location in central Palau, close to restaurants, marina and parking lot. Room was cosy, but well appointed and breakfast was very well catered for. Tip: Key left for us appeared not to fit in downstairs door but it was correct. Just a little trial and error. Laundry also 5 min walk if needed.

Cute little property right in the heart of Palau, making it incredibly easy to go out for dinner or get to the dock (had a scheduled boat tour). Celeste provided a beautiful breakfast with homemade pastries, eggs, peaches and cream, etc. Our best stay in all of our stops in Sardinia.

The space is a little confined. Doors swing into each other. Parking is a bit of a hike from the house.
The property is very conveniently located to the port and restaurants. It is clean tastefully decorated. The breakfast is good.

Needed to wait a while for hot water in shower but otherwise very good.
Staff were very helpful. Kept good communication including great place to park. Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast excellent.

Everything was perfect.
The accommodation is very lovingly and comfortably furnished. You immediately feel at home. Celeste and Michaela make every effort to ensure that guests have a great stay. There was even homemade cake for breakfast and a savoury and sweet selection for breakfast. Questions were always answered very helpfully.

Small things, but I hope they're useful. Our bedroom needed a mirror and waste bin. TV said no signal. Bathroom- shower took about 5 mins to warm up. It would have been really useful to have instructions for TV and air con and some basic local and up to date local Tourist info. All great otherwise.
Hospitality and friendliness. Home made cakes at breakfast. Lovely hosts who held on to our luggage due to later flight

The other guests used the shared living room with open-plan kitchen at all times - so, they were literally sitting right in front of our room so that you could hear them.
Fast and friendly communication before check-in and during the stay. Tastefully furnished room with plenty of space. Generous breakfast with lots of treats. Great location, only a few minutes walk to the port.

Nothing could be better. Nothing to complain about and that does not happen a lot nowadays.
This is a hidden gem. Located centrally in the nice village Palua. The host Celeste is a very nice lady who made us a fantastic breakfast with fresh apples and cream, carrot pie and of course crudo and cheese. She even lended us towels for our boat trip. Thank you for everything Celeste!
