Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe room was unique with an upstairs lounge area. We also enjoyed the shaded garden area to eat our lunch that we purchased down the street at a food truck. From Florence center it is approximately a one mile walk. It was a nice stroll and well lit even after dark. The staff was very friendly and helpful for calling taxi, etc.

IrelandThe only bad thing for me was my allergies to the beautiful flowers/scents. If you have allergies to flowers or feather pillows you will need your allergy medication
The building is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much. The location is stunning. You are surrounded by beautiful old large homes, beautiful gardens and the scent of flowers. We walked into and out of the city and there is something to see all the way. You are in a more local area too so things are slightly cheaper. It reminds me a lot of the Garden District in New Orleans. It felt completely safe even for a lone female to walk at night. There is a taxi rank at the end of the street, 1 minute walk. There is a bus stop 1 street over, also 1 minute walk. Breakfast is plentiful, cereal, pastries, bread, jams, yogurts, fruit, juice, tea/coffee. There are even some individually wrapped pastries to take with you which is handy if you are sightseeing/on tours

United KingdomSome of the furnishings are slightly dated, but it is an old villa so you can't expect flashy and modern.
The staff were very helpful. The lady and gentleman who man the desk are wonderful. The cleaning lady was charming and did a great job. They make me want to go back.

CroatiaHumidity in the room as we walked in, two separate beds put together making a hole while sleeping in it (and we had a baby sleeping between us!) and most importantly we could not turn on the heating by ourselves yet we had to ask gentlemen who works there to do that manually and we had a baby with us! Breakfast is another level of terrible, no bananas, eggs or plain yoghurt, only apples, kiwi, toast, ham and some salami, butter and little jams. Plus some cereal and fruit yoghurts. Oh and since thay have to have a bide in toilet (which I dont know who uses these days anymore), they had to put sliding bath doors since they dont have enough room for shower and a bide. I hated that shower and I recommend getting that bide out and getting a normal shower glass that doesn't move like harmonica.
Staff was amazing! Two (Indian) guys at the reception were kind, charming, at the service, and both speaking very good English. Lady at the reception with a lot of fake tan doesn't speak English. Hard to communicate with. Wonderful outside of the house (for coffee, smoking, playing), parking space, old furniture, location in a quiet green street near the city center, has a lot of potential!

SwedenFor the price we paid, the breakfast was disappointing to say the least. No variety, cheap local supermarket food, and served in a room in the underground level.

Breakfast was perfect for what I needed - plenty of breads, juice, coffee etc. The area of Porto Romana had lots of coffee shops, restaurants etc

United Statesgreat villa to stay in Florence. the hotel is not in the Center of Florence but don’t let this fool you it’s actually a great thing for Florence because it is extremely busy with tourists. 3 min walk to the gates and then you are in the streets of old town which you are gonna walk anyway. I was traveling with a car so the private parking on the property was top. interior could you use a bit of update but who cares i was there only to sleep. Sam was great, made me coffee every morning and help with everything. overall great place. American and Canada 2-3 star or an ok Airbnb, but again don’t let this fool you the property is great to stay in.

United KingdomThe hotel is next to a park, just outside city gates, 20 min pleasant stroll to the very centre of Florence. We had a car and I was happy to leave it at the hotel and not drive. The property was excellent - everything worked. Room size and bathroom were great. Staff was extremely helpful. I forgot my glasses in the bathroom and the hotel posted them to me to the UK! Communication was easy and breakfast was plentiful. Next time we come to Florence, I know exactly where to stay.

ThailandThough hotel is "classic" it could do with a bit of renovation. It seems to be stuck in the 90s or earlier. Pillows were super soft and needed more
Great location and the staff were very pleasant! Adequate for 0ne night honestly just to rest and relax and continue on a road trip. Breakfast was small but also adequate. Hotel offers electric car charging for 35 euros, Tesla and others. A bit expensive for it but you take what you can get 😉. Rooms was huge and so was bathroom.

RussiaWhat makes a hotel comfortable? Locatation, furniture, facilities? No! People is the only thing that makes a difference. If staff is will to help you, doing their best to make your staying unforgettable then this is the real hotel. But Classic hotel is not the case. When I came to the hotel it turned out I mixed a month. My booking was one month ahead. They said we didn't care about. It's your problem. We won't return your money. So, if you do not want to face that kind of attitude please avoid this place.

Francethe breakfast was disgusting unfortunately, everything is bought in supermarket, for this price I was excepting a breakfast hand made or at least the hotel could do something with a bakery close to them
I like that the property was very close to the center town, the parking is free which is very good for this city, the property itself is beautiful if you like classic old style

RomaniaAlthough the room was described as standard with garden view, we.ve been accomodated in an atic with no windows but a ceiling one. If we would open the ceiling window for fresh air, a horible smell was invading the room. Next day they changed the room for us but we.ve stayed only 2 nights, so half of our stay was in a small atic with no view at all

United KingdomCan't think of anything, it was ideal for what we needed.
Located on one of the best streets in Florence. A bit noisy if your room is facing the road but we asked for a room facing the garden and it was perfect. Free parking, and the staff was super friendly. The centre of Florence is within walking distance, easily. The breakfast was on the terrace outside, surrounded by trees and plants.
