Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMaybe a hot tub would be a good addition ;)
Absolutely incredible stay at Giada’s home. We only communicated over WhatsApp, but were able to check in and check out seamlessly. The house is huge, with spacious rooms, a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms and an enormous terrace overlooking the mountain range and Amalfi. The views are unbelievable. I just wish we stayed longer! The house has everything you would need and Giada was very helpful and communicative and arranged our taxi back to Naples. The only downside is that it’s quite difficult to get into the town of Amalfi/Atrani if you don’t have a car/bike. There are no taxis in the town (unless you book in advance) and it costs €70 to Amalfi and €160 to Naples. There are buses but they are very confusing, overcrowded and unreliable (you have to buy tickets at a ticket desk before you get on). We weren’t able to get to Ravello because the buses kept not arriving or driving past packed with people from Amalfi. So sadly we didn’t get to see it this time. But the stay was still worth it and we will definitely be back, and next time we will probably hire a small car! Thank you Giada for the amazing stay!

United KingdomYou have to pay an additional €60 to get a permit to park your car.
The location is amazing away from the hustle and bustle of Amalfi. It has restaurants and a small shop nearby so very convenient. The views are just incredible. I would say you need a car or be very fit to stay here as there are a lot of steps to get into Amalfi and the buses are ok but not very regular.

CanadaLoved how quiet it was but there wasn’t a lot near by. Quite a walk even to the grocery store. Amazing hiking and scenery near by though. We didn’t have a car so the location was a little challenging for us but appreciated not being right in the craziness of Almalfi. Unfortunately the buses are not very dependable so be prepared to walk lots of stairs!
Amazing views and so quiet. The space was so big, comfortable and clean.

SwitzerlandThe hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The check-in was smooth and easy. They put us in touch with a really good scooter hire company and organised an excellent airport transfer service. The view was exceptional. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Pontone is a beautiful small quiet village up above the hustle and bustle on the Amalfi Coast.

BelgiumSome people would prefer some more modern bed, but honnestly it gives even more typical feeling to your stay. This is our preferred stay after travelling a month in Italy!
We were welcomed by one of the sisters who had kept a parking space for us down the appartement. Indeed there are a couple of steps before arriving at the appartement, but that's the case everywhere at the Amalfi coast and it's worth the view. The hosts were very flexible as we arrived a couple of hours before what we've announced. At your arrival you will have a booklet with all the info on the region. the communication with the hosts is super smooth, they will be super responsive via whatsapp, and asking if all is ok during your stay. We rarely had such a nice welcoming. Pontone is a great village! It has all you need and has just an amazing vibe. It has two restaurants (we've tried one, the pizzaria, and it was ok - not exceptional), the Blu Bar is amazing, on the square of the shop and it offers also some grocery. Pontone is a 30min walk to Amalfi (if you go down the steps to the city). Going up it's a bit longer and sporty, but you can super easily take a bus, we've done both. Pontone is 15 min drive to Ravello. Amalfi and Ravello are must seen in the region! From Pontone there is also a quite easy and beautiful walk for 2h30 from the appartement. We also took the car to Minori and loved it. The appartement itself is way bigger than on the pictures, the rooms are really big, with a nice terrace and an amazing view. Everything was super clean. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the basics you need. We even had some light breakfast like toast, marmelade and biscuits. We loved the rooftop terrace that is very sunny in the afternoon, and again with an amazing view and relaxing long chairs.

United StatesIt was not a very convenient location. There is a bus that takes you to Amalfi but it's a 15 minute walk away to the stop and bus does not actually follow the schedule. We waited an hour and when the bus finally came it was full. We ended up having to walk all the way down the stairs to Amalfi with our baby making it very difficult to do anything on the coast. Also there is one tiny grocery store by the apartment that hardly had anything and only took cash.
Very comfortable place with great views and helpful staff
