Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomPeople live there for months with clothes and things hanging around beds and feels like you enter to their private space, though were friendly enough. Receptonist women have 0 english. Was not given a towel, because according to the receptionist the rules had changed. Was not given a locker, as all were occupied. Very noisy, the room was facing the street. One shower out of two was not working.
Good location. Not super dirty hostel, have seen worse.

UkraineThe bed was not convenient and very noisy when trying to change the sleeping position. It was loud in the room at night as the window was opened all night in the room. Didn't like the neighborhood. And my food was stolen from the fridge.
It was possible to check in earlier, but no opportunity to leave the luggage after checkout. It was one of the cheapest options in the city.

United KingdomCons: - No mosquito netting, were completely covered in mosquito bites after. Other note: Would recommend packing earbuds/eye masks, window open at all times. This is good for heat, but will be loud and bright. They also have lockers, but you need to bring your own lock.
Pros: - Close to the station. - Does what it says on the tin, bed in dorm.

SlovakiaThe only issues were that the beds were too squeaky, and the kind of people you get as a roommate...a bit weird. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
In western europe, you get what you paid for, it is a decent place. Location-wise it was good coz it was next to the main railway station but the area looks a bit dodgy. It was a pleasant experience. The toilets were clean, and the kitchen was okay too. The manager, he was nice, spoke English very well, so there was no issues.

ItalyAs usual in this kind of low-cost hostels, there's local people living there with the travellers. these permanent residents capture the fan for themselves in a very rude attitude that leads you to chose another hostel next time. so I had to buy a mini fan to avoid dying in the heat during the two days I booked, and everytime I went to the bathroom I found my mini fan turned off. So there is a lack of control from the administration on the behavior of the permanent residents who appear to enjoy disturbing The travellers only for personal amusement.

United StatesIt’s a great cheap place for what it’s worth. It’s just extremely hot inside the dormitory. But most of naples doesn’t have any air conditioning so that was to be expected but just so you’re aware.
I liked how nice the staff was and how easy it was to get to the centre.

Czech RepublicHere is no air conditioner, so visitors need to make the window open during night time. That meaning so many mosquito got into the room freely, and noise of cars also. In my case, I could sleep well, but I felt annoyed for it especially mosquito. and toilet is traditional Italian style so does not have the place to sit down. To say one more, not every bed does not have outlet. However, if you ask the staff about it, you can get access of outlet.
The staffs are very kind. They always smile to visitors, and they fulfilled some requirements of visitors. In my case, though my check in time was postponed again and again, the staff looked welcome to me.
