Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFinding the front door wasn't easy - there's nothing on the outside of the building to indicate you're in the right place. Only having one plug was also a challenge - perhaps bring a multi adapter with you so you can charge more than one device at once
Brilliant location (you can see the Colosseum at the end of the main road a minute from the room's front door), three choices of cafe for breakfast (included in the stay), very clean and Massimo was lovely and gave us lots of information on the local area.

MaltaThe coupons for breakfast were just 5e per person per day. I believe that it could have been at least 10e per person as you always need to add more money to the coupons.
Nice host Comfortable bed Breakfast at antico forno was amazing. Perfect location close to the colosseum and other bars and rest.

RussiaThe price was quite high, probably due to enormous numbers of tourists visiting Rome
Amazing location in the heart of Rome, close to via deli Fori Imperiali and the Colloseum; and within 15 minutes on foot from any other sight in the historical center. The host, Massimo, is amazing and very hospitable. The room is cozy and quiet; clean bathroom and good WiFi.

United StatesHard to find. Not clear on the directions to get into. It was listed as a hotel but was actually a airbnb. AC was not very cold. So we opened the window.
Great location. Host very nice. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom large. Easy access to the room. Breakfast was included!

United StatesThe only complaint we have is that the shower had an unpleasant smell. We were able to keep the bathroom door closed and it didn't smell once the water was running for a but. The initial check in was a little confusing but we figured it out.
The location was great - very central to the colosseum and other large attractions. The staff was very nice and communicative. They gave us breakfast coupons for two nearby cafes which worked out well. The room was a great value and we would return is we visit Rome again.

Massimo picked us up at the airport for a fee but was less than the regular taxis. Our flight was delayed by an hour then it took an hour to get through passport control. Didn’t get through until 10.30 at night but Massimo still had a big smile for us. He was a lovely host. The room was lovely, very clean and traditional and fantastic location. Easy walk to the colosseum and forum. Lovely Pastry and coffee was included for breakfast in a cafe across the street. Lovely wee place. Would definitely recommend and return if back in Rome

GermanyVery friendly reception by owner, who gave many city tips. Very nice breakfast in small cafe around the corner (100m) was included in price. As well: luggage storage at hotel nearby (50m) included. Very well pre–organized by owner, no hassle at all. We had 40 degrees outside, and the aircon coped well.

Czech RepublicIf I can recommend zou, dont buz the accomodation with breakfest inculded. Or any food at all. There is plenty of caffee's arounf and just for few euros you will get much better breakfest than this included in the accomodation - and it will be in one of closeby caffe either.
Very cosy room, not very big, but still confortable. But first of all - with excellent location. Only few minutes by foot to Colosseum, few more to Piazza Navona, Pizza di Spagna etc. And about half an hour to Vatican, but thru the old town -so it is a very nice walk. Lots of caffee's and restaurants just few steps from the apartment. We had a realy beutiful time here!
