Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The sign of hotel name was completely invisible - on old A4 paper in window. Towels were missing in room - so have to go to other building to ask at reception.
Locations is just perfect! breakfast was ok.

The check in was in a different location and there was no staff in the actual building we were staying. The heating was broken and not fixed despite us asking. Some of the drawers were broken and the bed was very uncomfortable

Really small room , quite dark and closed in but the bathroom was spacious and light with fresh air and windows that opened that balanced out the small room .
Loved the location , loved the world of Venice . Convenient easy to find location . I enjoyed the privacy , it's just a door on the street with a code and you enter a world of old magnificence of a by gone era . There's no one to bother , you just make your own way to the room . The reception is actually in a building on the opposite side of the street , where the breakfast is also .

Our room was very small, double bed and bunk bed sofa bed which would not be suitable for smaller children as there were no guard rails, bathroom was a bit neglected, signs of mould on the ceiling and shower was pretty ineffective. the floor under the beds hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The bunk beds weren't actually made up, just sheets left on the beds.
location great, short walk from the Accademia bridge and the Vaporetto stop. breakfast was chaotic but there was enough choice for everyone if you waited.

Nothing really, If i had to complain it would be that the hair dryer was not working. We told the reception and they gave us a hairdryer there and then. Problem solved.
OK firstly if you want total luxury then don't stay here. However for what you pay for in Venice I would recommend this hotel. We were on a budget and this met our needs. Breakfast was good, room was fine, beds were comfortable. The best part of the hotel was the location. It was 20 mins to Piazza di Marco, 15 mins from the Realto bridge. As always, I ask myself would I stay here again. The answer would be YES. Although I would love to stay at the sister hotel right across the street where we had breakfast but this is on another budget.

Very little. The room was a litte dated but very clean and in a great location.
The location and value for money were great for Venice. Staff and service available at the hotel were really good. The check-in and check-out times were good and there was liggage storage available.

WiFi , hair dryer, shower, toilet cistern were not working well, we booked king size bed but was two beds together
Great for a movie set, room was renovated really beautiful however they forget the fix up the bath room. Breakfast served off site. Quite inclusive breakfast though.

Nothing; since it was a last minute booking, I thought everything was better than I imagined!
I booked very last minute so I was delighted to get somewhere on the island itself and at a reasonable price. The room was lovely; small but very clean. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. The price also included breakfast (in the hotel across the road) which I took on one of the mornings and it was more than fine. I would stay again!

Very good price for the location close to everything, yet little aside from the crowds. Room was cosy and recently renovated. Personnel was very helpful and nice, even in the early morning hours walking us to taxi boat. Simple, clean and easy to access. Typical continental plain breakfast.

The amenities in the room are lacking, so take notice: - there is no small fridge/mini bar - in my room, the safe deposit box did not work, could not be used, - there was no glass in the bathroom to use when brushing teeth, or as a drinking utensil, - no iron available, even at the reception, be ready to walk around in crimpled clothing.
The location is very good. It takes a 15 minute walk to St. Mark's square, or if you want to take a vaporetto, the Zattere terminal is 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. On the other side, in the Grand canal, there is Academia vaporetto terminal. There is a small market on the same street to buy beer, water or other small type groceries. Also, there are restaurants in walking distance for lunch or dinner. Great breakfast is included, buffet style.

1. The room dont have refrigerator to have cool water. 2. The toilet very old and small. You cannot move inside shower.
Nice Classic Decoration from Venice!! Nice matress for the beds, we have slept very comfortable. Strategic place near to many interests around you can walk.

The breakfast was so basic and no variation. The hotel and the room are not in the same place, the rooms are cross the street. No sound proof and you will hear a lot of noise. Not worth the value for the money but still you have a great location.
The location was good. The room was clean and stylish. AC was good and not very noisy. TV was smart i liked it. Staff was okay.
